Is anyone else having a difficult time breastfeeding? I'm in so much pain and my nipples are cracked and bleeding. I didn't realize it but Madison began spitting up blood, which turned out to be mine. She is now 10 days old and my nipples haven't began to heal...so the pediatrician instructed me to stop nursing for a couple of days to allow them to heal, I'm to pump only and then before I allow her to breastfeed again I have to go to a lactation consultant to show me what I'm doing wrong...why she isn't latching on properly. I started crying today because I felt like a failure. I got a pump and am alternating feedings with pumped breastmilk and formula...which I did not want to do but have to. I'm in so much pain and am sad.

heya, well as u all know the plan was for me to go in on wednesday to try be induced, my baby clearly didnt like this idea and decided to come on his own tuesday evening, started bout 6pm but contractions were strong an heavy from about 11pm, was in hard labour for 27 hours, very difficult, did it drug free but given the chance i think i wud go to a normal L&D and have drugs next time...Archie Peter Lawlee weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces :-D i love him!!!
