• number2:–I’m dealing with what I thought was more discharge than normal for bf’ing… hmmm wonder what it is? I’ve also not started my period either. ??? ~~~tanners:–are you on facebook? I’m a member of a group on there called I’m a breastfeeding, co-sleeping, baby-wearing Mama! hahaha!!

  • pinkish:–we dealt with jaundice back in October and while Little Miss is fine now, we were a little worried because her jaundice seemed to stay around much longer. She’s also the only one of the 5 that I stuck bfing out with, so she was getting much more bm than the other kids did which causes it to take longer to get out of their system. Def…[Read more]

  • hannah:–back when mommies made formula at home themselves, it contained karo syrup so I’d say no it’s not bad. Some pedes also recommend it for babies who are constipated.

  • kirra:–I only bf from 1 breast all the time and we do both breast and formula. Has worked for us from week 1. Gives me the peace of mind knowing she’s getting enough AND she’s getting bm. 6 nursing sessions daily + 18-20 oz formula. If you feel guilty don’t do it, but if you’re ok with it then go for it. Like bri said, it’s your baby 🙂

  • lorelai:–a B and a D haha!! I only nurse from one side (too many issues on the right breast for it to be worth it) so one of mine hangs down lower than the other! lol!!! I’m gonna look like a National Geographic magazine cover when this is over with! hahahaha!!!!

  • tarste:–I’m with the other mommies! Don’t stop! I had unreal nipple issues. We dealt with thrush, cracked bleeding scabbed nipples, and mastitis! I totally wanted to quit but I didn’t. I just kept setting small goals like just one more week! Now here we are nursing at week 13! Nursing does get easier and it does stop hurting!! I just wish…[Read more]

  • Everyone keeps talking about massive boobs and I’ve just got these crazy images of what we all look like hahaha! I’ve got DD’s and didn’t realize how big they were til I saw myself from a side view on our Christmas video. WHOA!! lol!!!

  • Anyone who’s been nursing for a while, can you tell me how long your nipples hurt? We’re starting wk10 today and mine still hurt. I know it’s not latch, they seem to just be tender all the time. Especially when I get cold! And does anyone else have a problem with their nips always seeming to be erect? Which also makes them hurt!
    Thanks!!

  • I never comment on here but read all the time. I wanted to share my story just in case anyone is the same boat. So, I only feed from one breast ALL THE TIME. We don’t switch because it was just too stinking painful on the right. Had thrush, mastitis, and what feels like a needle sticking in just one spot on my nipple that would continue to…[Read more]

  • aleks:–when your milk comes in is not based on due date, it’s based on when your body tells you it’s time to feed your baby. You should expect your milk to come in a few days after birth. I’ve never heard of someone having their milk right away, it’s usually colostrum. That’s pretty cool. Were you engorged or anything prior to birth? In my…[Read more]
