anne- have fun tonight and don’t let the possibility of a leaky breast ruin it! I think that happened to me maybe 3 times. Not very often and isn’t like you start spraying all over, i don’t think my bf noticed it except for the time i told him. don’t worry and enjoy yourself!

  • i’m bf my 5 month old and had my first af on april 3. We bd, not ttc the first day i could be fertile and the day this calendar says i ovulated. I am on the minipill but haven’t taken it consistently. Hope this doesn’t mean I might get prego again! Not sure if my body is normal again after having the baby. yikes!

1Byfaith- i have never woken my lo up to eat even in the first 6 weeks when i was establishing a milk supply. From the beginning she slept 5 hours at night and then by 3-4 weeks she was going 7-8 hours at night. She was a sleep-aholic!! When she did the 5 hours I would just let her go and when she started sleeping longer than that I would get up…[Read more]

Do you all wear nursing bras 24/7? Can you take it off sometimes and let the girls loose? Will it make my breasts sag? Julianna is almost 4 months already, time sure does fly!

  • Angie2008 replied to the topic Breastfeeding in the forum Babies Forum 3 years, 3 months ago

stephs, as babies learn how to breastfeed efficiently they won’t feed as long at each feeding. You LO can empty your breast in about 5 minutes. If they are growing I wouldn’t worry. Julianna is a fast eater and is finished both sides in about minutes and she is huge! good luck

Bsbabyblues- i did not take a breastfeeding class and personally think it would have been a waste of money (not to talk about anyone who did take one). i read TONS of things and got a few books on breastfeeding. After I gave birth and I fed my dd for the first time, the nurse even commented on how well i did and asked if i had ever breastfed…[Read more]

hey ladies, my dd is 7 1/2 months old and has just recently started being really interested in solids, we started at 6 months. She gets breastfed or breastmilk in bottle ( i work fulltime) 4-5 times a day. She seems like she isn’t eating much the middle of the day feeds. She drinks good at the first and last feed. Is this normal, okay??? i am…[Read more]

Hi ladies, I have a question. Last night while I was pumping some blood came out with the milk and turned it all bright red. Of course I poured out the milk, but when I looked at my nipple there is no crack or anything on it. I continued to pump more and no more blood came out. I have no idea where the blood came from. I’m a little worried…[Read more]

I had to take my daughter to the doc today for her 2 month check up and she weighed in at 12 pds and 11 ounces!! After the nurse left and before the doc came in i fed Julianna b/c it was about that time for her. After I fed her she weighed 13 pds! So she ate 5 ounces at a feeding. I was impressed as I really don’t know how much she takes in at…[Read more]

bluey- your lo should NOT be dropping feedings or feeding less when you start solids. bm or formula is what babies need most and where they get all the needed nutrition from. Let you lo nurse first and then do solids after. maybe try feeding your lo more often so they will eat less and maybe have less come back up. sorry if i am not all that much help.

avent pads are very thick and absorbent to wear at night time or around the house in the early days. But they do really show through your shirts. they have them at babies r us and target. I also used the gerber ones when I only leaked a little bit. they are much thinner and don’t show through but aren’t nearly as absorbent.

anne- i just looked up that disease and if sterling had it wouldn’t he have more than just the one symptom of diarahha. Where i read it said chronic diarahha so i wouldn’t be too worried at this point because you said you just started him on table foods. His body is probably adjusting or it may be teething or something else going on. I would just…[Read more]

I started taking it on wednesday, once in the morning and i haven’t really seen a difference. I do about 1/2 cup or 3/4 cup mixed equal with water in the evening before and I heat and eat in the am. Am i doing this right???

aidensmommy1- i understand where you are coming from, i’m 22 and some of my friends just don’t get it that my lo is more important than getting a drink. don’t let them discourage you though you are doing what is truly best for your lo and one day when they have kids they will understand. as for your mil maybe allow her to help feed your lo…[Read more]

kym22- you sound like me saying your day revolves around pumping and getting enough to feed your lo. what is brewers yeast.? Where can i get it, right now i am doing malted milk and fermented oatmeal, have seen some good results but need more. I get so angry when i can’t get enough which i’m sure doesn’t help me produce. I have the PIS too and…[Read more]

thanks to all the ladies who commented on nursing while prego! I’m going to do some research but i’m pretty convinced it’s okay. My dd will be 16 months old when the new baby comes and i was planning on stopping nursing when she turns 1 in november. I kind of want a break from it before the new baby comes, i feel pretty worn out right about now.

have a question- my dd is almost 7 months old and i’ve had af since she was 5 months. She is ebf and is now eating solids, we started at 6 months. Ever since i first got af, it has always been on time. Well it was due on Saturday, now it’s thursday night. Still no sign of af coming and i took 2 pregnancy tests and 2 negatives.
