• holly, I’ve been having spotting when I wipe the last few days as well. I’m thinking it has to do with BD’ing and maybe still having a sensitive cervix or something after the m/c. Dunno for sure, but I’m not too worried about it and I hope you aren’t worrying too much either!

  • DIANA, if you are looking to be a OPK try looking on ebay. You can get kits for a few dollars. On store shelves you are looking at $30+. Only downside is they usually take a few weeks to arrive in the mail. I bught off the store shelf my first month of tracking, and have ordered from ebay ever since. Saves a ton of $$$. Also makes me feel…[Read more]

  • So I went to work today and found out that one of our ‘clients’ took her 7 month old daughter to the hospital to be treated for pneumonia. Apparently she dropped her off and only visited ONCE the entire week. The hospital was ready to discharge the baby but couldn’t because ‘mom’ didn’t check in on her at all. So sad 🙁 Children’s Aid Society…[Read more]

  • BabyOsullivan, I’m from Canada, so we are in totally different time zones. Judging from your post I’m about 14 or 15 hours behind you. No worries though. I’m not 100% sure yet what time of day I’m going to test. I’m working night shift. If I can hold my pee at work all night I might test as soon as I get home in the morning. If not, I’ll…[Read more]

  • Lisa, did you have a natural m/c or a D & C? I had a natural m/c last August and my doctor didn’t do a followup ultrasound. I was sometimes getting faint positives on one brand of internet cheapies and chalked it up to a crappy batch of tests. I had what I thought was a normal AF in Sept, then bled for almost a month in Oct before passing more…[Read more]

  • It is awfully quiet in here. Thoughts are with you HappyMama. I know it was a difficult day for me back in March when my due date came and went and I wasn’t yet pregnant. I’m sure you will soldier on and hopefully you’ll have that rainbow baby on the way soon.

  • Congrats Nikolle! Happy and healthy 9 months to you 🙂 Sorry for all the BFNs and hugs to DMmarine, hopefully the 4 months goes quickly for you. CD13 here, and not using OPKs this month. Trying to BD about once every day and a half to catch the egg. This month is definitely my best hope with being on vacation and away from shift work. Today…[Read more]

  • BabyOsullivan, can you hold out one more day until the 26th? I’m going to join Carmen in testing that day (although it might still be too early to get a BFP). I probably won’t be able to test until the afternoon as I’m working the night before. Sorry Mishaan, I can’t hold out until June 3, AF will already be late by then. Sorry to the…[Read more]

  • Hayley, if your bleeding is as heavy as your period I would wager to guess that it is a chemical pregnancy. Basically what happens is the egg is fertilized, but it fails to implant properly. I read somewhere that a large percent of pregnancies end up being chemical pregnancies, but that the majority of women never know because they wait until AF…[Read more]

  • alex.aarons.mom, sounds to me like you’ve found a great doctor who genuinely wants to help you 🙂 Mrs.L, so sorry about your friend’s family, they are in my thoughts. mccormacknatalie, congrats on your BFP!!! FX 2B that this is your month! As for me, OPK yesterday and today were clearly negative, so I’m thinking that I caught the tail end of…[Read more]

  • Duffy, everything sounds so promising for you. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is your month. So my son decided to shove a Lite Brite peg up his nose last and started screaming in agony. We ended up in the emergency room as we did not want to cause any damage or push it further up there while trying to remove it. They think he ended up…[Read more]

  • Aloha, I have to work when he does his sperm test, so I hope he doesn’t have TOO much fun without me! Last time it was awkward for him, so I don’t imagine he’ll enjoy it much this time around either. So grateful that he is doing the test, I have heard that a lot of men refuse. And I will be ready to test in 7-9 days if AF hasn’t reared her ugly head.

  • Hi, my name is Julie and I am a POAS addict. Yup, totally tested last night after saying I was going to wait. BFN of course. Loraclacey, I hope the provera gives your body the kickstart you need to get pregnant. Good luck to those testing soon. Have a feeling a ton of BFPs are just around the corner.

  • Maybe1more, up until now I have been using ovulation predictor kits. (Order cheapies off the internet). Now that I am at the fertility clinic, they are going to monitor my cycles with bloodwork and ultrasound, so I won’t be ordering any more. It is nice to know what’s going on with your cycle. Congrats on the BFPs! Had my CD3 ultrasound and…[Read more]

  • Aloha, the progesterone supplements basically trick your body into thinking you’re pregnant if you aren’t, and can prevent the onset of AF (I figured your doctor told you that but maybe not). If I were you, I would test in the next day or two and if it is a BFN, then stop taking the supplements this cycle. (But it will be a BFP instead, keeping my…[Read more]

  • Aloha, your coworker is right. A positive OPK can indicate pregnancy. Does she know she ovulated earlier this month or is it possible her cycle is out of whack and she’s just about to ovulate? The only way to know for sure would be to use a HPT. And I have heard that progesterone can mess with your symptoms so it is hard to say but I am keeping my…[Read more]

  • Ehart, I was on Depo shortly before I conceived my son and it didn’t affect the return of my fertility. He was conceived about 2 months after the last shot wore off, so I don’t think it should cause you any problems. Terriann, congrats on being an auntie! Nice to hear that you are happy for your sister when it would be so easy to be jealous and…[Read more]

  • Anyone else testing near the end of this month? I need a POAS buddy!

  • Babydusted, sorry for your BFN. But you’re not out until AF rears her ugly head. Carmen27, I found this site a while ago. It breaks down nicely when women who are pregnant get their BFPs. As you can see, while MOST would be getting a positive on your dpo, it’s not unheard of for women to be pregnant and still come up negative.…[Read more]

  • Operation, so sorry for your loss 🙁 Not much to report here, CD13. All of my OPKs have been clearly negative since the questionable one on CD9, hoping that was my surge and that I O’d early this month. Going to keep testing until I run out of OPK tests to be sure. I was talking with a family member and we both agree that the blue tests are…[Read more]
