That’s exactly what I would do – as soon as I got my period I would get my calculator out and figure out the due date IF I were to get pregnant this month. I did it the first and second time. Third time I was blessedly lucky. I’m due Christmas Eve and am just praying to God (new for me) that it is a sticky bean. I’m so, so, so scared of miscarriage.

Hi, I’m 7 and a half weeks pregnant – but the ultrasound scan reckons I’m 6 weeks pregnant. My HCG was 9300 two weeks ago. It is now 23600. Isn’t it supposed to climb much faster than this – how bad it this? Help!? xx

I think you’re right – with the majority of people the sac can be seen at 1100, the fetal pole at about 3000 and a measurable, definite heartbeat at 10,000. But if you would like to see all of these things – and therefore know for sure that everything is alright you should really wait until you are at least 12,000. I went for my first scan at 5…[Read more]

My HCG level was 2300 on Friday. Three days later (Yesterday) it was 8012. Today I had a strange thumping/knocking pulse-type sensation low in my abdomen. I went to the hospital to get it checked out to be on the safe side. They just discharged me after about two hours, saying I seemed fine and not to worry. Yet they gave me my HCG level just…[Read more]

Kristy, please don’t worry – it really does not matter what your HCG is – so long as it climbs well. At your stage it should be doubling every 48-72 hours. If you go to the website http://www.betabase.com you will see what a wide range of normal HCG really has. The website is where hundreds/thousands of women have input their HCG for successful…[Read more]

Amber J – if you are not feeling happy about leaving her, and you’re really worried, then perhaps you should go with your instincts and not leave her.

    – also, last weeks scan dated me at 5+ weeks, and this weeks scan dated me at 5+ weeks – again. I am sure I am 7 weeks. Yet the appearance of a tiny fetal pole with a heartbeat is all they seem to care about. These two things: the fetal pole and heartbeat are the most important thing. People tell me that as long as the heart is beating I shouldn’t…[Read more]

Your HCG will be doubling every 48 hours at this early stage of pregnancy. Seeing as they are only 872 you will need to wait at least a week and a half for a decent chance of seeing the fetal pole on an ultrasound.

I am CERTAIN of my dates. I should be due 24th December. I must be 7 weeks pregnant – my LMP was 19th March. My cycle was a regular 28 days. However, if ALL or large numbers of children were not immunized then there would be a chance of the diseases returning to our societies. If you focus solely on the best interests of your child then you…[Read more]

  • Hi there, I want to agree that vaccines are inked to Autism. My son seemed absolutely fine. Then he had his MMR triple vaccines and spent the night and following day in a fever filled stupor. After that he was never the same. He now has a diagnosis of Asperger’s Syndrome. However, I do not believe that the vaccinnes bring on autism by themselves.…[Read more]

I chose the tablets/medical option . The first three doses did not work at all – they just caused a high temperature, low blood pressure and hours of excruciating cramps but no bleeding. After no luck with the oral tablets the doctor decided to insert some more vaginal tablets and at that particular moment I passed everything – blood, placenta,…[Read more]

Just to update you all – sadly my little one didn’t make it. I went for scan yesterday and today and both gave the same results: the baby’s heart beat has now stopped. It put up a good fight and its heart kept beating for three weeks after it stopped growing, but it is now at peace. Thank you so much for all your kind comments, support and advice.…[Read more]
