Hi Ladies – I need a little advice. We were away on a little vacation from Weds. thru Sunday of last week with our almost 19 month old son. I guess, because we were in a different place, and we’d have to pat his back…[Read more]

Robin, I worked for 10 years as an individual assistant or ‘1 on 1’ for children (pre-school age) with special needs… mostly whom have austism. I’ve worked with children at both ends of the spectrum, and have seen huge improvements using the ‘brushing’ method. But as you know, all children with autism are different. Some children this works…[Read more]

I had seisures due to the myalin on my brain’s nerve endings not being fully developed yet. Any way, the EEG is painless. They use this weird ‘gum/paste’ stuff to attach electrode readers to the scalp. I would lay on a hospital bed…[Read more]

I read in a parenting magazine and saw it on Good Morning America.. for a cold you can use Vicks Vapo rub on the bottom of your childs feet!! Then for a young one, I would make sure they have feety pajamas, but otherwise just put on socks. I tried it when I had a cold about a month ago and it worked fabulously! They say your feet are so…[Read more]

Rach – the guilt part IS the worst! Every minute felt like an hour to me! But it does get easier, and you will be SO glad you held out when he finally sleeps through the night! He’ll still be just as excited to see you in the morning, and will have completely forgotten that you didn’t respond immediately to his middle of the night cries! Good Luck!

  • Kikiea replied to the topic Sleep in the forum Babies Forum 3 years, 4 months ago

Rach – my son, now 13 months, was exactly the same way! He would wake once, then twice, and finally it was almost every hour that he needed us to help him back to sleep. We finally did the cry it out method and it immediatly started getting better… after 3 nights he started sleeping through the night, and has ever since! The crying does not…[Read more]
