PGFirstTimer – I had two samples of the lansinoh disposables and they did work well. Yeah, i was just thinking about putting the lanolin on so that it wouldn’t stick but the other thing that bothers me is that i think i need something that doesn’t touch my nipples. They are kinda sensitive from all of the pumping. That’s why I was wondering…[Read more]

PGFirstTimer – So I understand sticking your arm straight out and LO’s head is almost or barely touching the arm…but does baby stay laying on his/her back for the feeding, or is LO on his/her side when latched and feeding. i’m sorry so many questions; we just can’t get it right! : (

lilli1317 – I tried the disposable ones and they do not stick, but I would prefer using reusable ones…but they stick to my nipple.

Has anyone tried the Medela Soft Shells or the Avent Shells?

Angela- so when you are laying on your left side you feed from the right boob; then when it’s time to do the left boob, do you roll on your right side and move your LO? I probably should just focus on getting us proficient on the cradle position since that is what he is doing now…and we have very little experience so far with getting latched…[Read more]

Question: I need some good breast pads. I leak alot, and I’ve been using reusable cloth pads…I like the Medela ones BUT my nipples end up sticking to them and it kinda hurts when I’m ready to take my bra off. Any suggestions.

So, my son actually took my right breast, and had a good latch! I couldn’t believe it! He has really never taken that one before….except for when he was a week old and with a nipple shield. Anyway, we are slowly learning, and I’m excited. what a set back to only begin learning to BF at 4 weeks old, but that’s ok. He hates the football…[Read more]

emmalouliz – You really don’t have to explain yourself to others anyway…especially when it comes to parenting your child. But BF for a year is great and not weird at all…a woman that was in my childbirth class was still BF her 4 year old, and she didn’t plan to stop once her new baby came. I’m sure that alot of people think that’s weird, but…[Read more]

Question: Can a 4 week old newborn learn to breastfeed after being bottle fed for 3.5 weeks? He lost a lot of weight in the hospital (we were there for about a week)…so we had to supplement. After we started supplementing with a syringe/formula, he wouldn’t even try to latch on., before he would latch but not ever a perfect latch. Usually he…[Read more]

Bri – I’m so excited! My son actually latched on today..and it was a good latch! BUT he only latched onto my left breast…this is the only one that he would latch onto before (even tho it was a bad latch, and he would always pinch my nipple)…so hopefully he will consistently get a good latch on the left breast, and eventually take to the…[Read more]

When you are going to freeze freshly expressed milk, do you have to let it cool to room temp before putting it in the freezer? Or can you pump, put it in the appropriate container, and put it directly in the freezer while it is still warm (body temp)???
