  • seuban- has you little one had amox. before? if not be really careful, it can be super hard on their tummies. i had to take it for mastitis early on, and it gave Delaney the worse tummy ache and diarrhea like you wouldn’t believe. i have head others on this site warn about it as well, when she had an ear infection i specifically asked they didnt…[Read more]

  • on the topic of leaking, i still leak every night, and Laney wakes to nurse at least once if not 2, or 3 times. so i just wear nursing pads to bed.

  • danielle- i had mastitis when Delaney was around 2 weeks. it is awful, so painful, and you feel terrible, meds will help with the infection, but in order to relieve the clogged duct you should nurse often and offer that side first, i know how painful it is, but honestly it would be 100 times more painful if you give up on nursing, you will get…[Read more]

  • 2ndtimemommy- i truly believe people like that woman are the reason why the number of breastfeeding women declines from generation to generation. parents are raising boys to believe breastfeeding is taboo…and it is a sad fact that many women will not even attempt to nurse if they do not have the support of their spouse. as if it isnt bad enough…[Read more]

  • tishlamp- i drink 1 cup a day, and i drink it right after i nurse laney in the morning so by the time she nurses again most of the caffeine has metabolized.

  • i have never worried about dan rolling on Delaney, we are both really in tuned with her especially when she is in bed with us. it is the strangest thing, it is like a different level of sleep…we are both rested but so aware of your surroundings at the same time!

  • jmuncy- this was my comment…babybellybliss (8.5 minutes ago)
before judging i would take into consideration that there are many cultures around the world in which it is not uncommon for a child to be nursed past the age of 11. just because it is not the `norm` in your or my society doesn`t make it wrong, or gross. personally i see not harm in it.

  • ladies i have small breasts and i still have to hold my boob the whole time well Delaney nurses or she constantly latches and unlatches..ouch! as for nursing in public i dont wear a cover but i do wear a tank top or tube top under EVERYTHING to hide my belly. i pump once a night after Laney goes to bed and i am lucky to get 1.5 ounces from both…[Read more]
