• Phatbaby and Doublemama~ Thanks for the reviews on paragard, I am really leaningtowards it, for milk supply and because it is more reliable than condoms or a diaphram… Lol, if it is something we have to put on then there is a chance we won’t waste the time, and then we might end up with another baby before we are ready…. so paragard itis…

  • Megs, have to go pump, message my page, I was on reglan for 3 months

  • babygalge~ There is no reason for you to stop nursing. Some old school nurses might tell you it can cause pre-term labor, but new studies show that you get stronger contractions from sneezing and sex than from nursing. So there is no medical reason for you to wean your son. Good Luck!

  • OH so i pumped 6.5 oz yesterday for my freezer and another 6.5 today! The bad news, while I was pumping I noticed some drips falling on my leg, I thought maybe i hadn’t screwed the pump on right, well that wasn’t the problem, the bottle was cracked! I was upset that I lost some milk, but so happy I noticed the leak before i lost more than a…[Read more]

  • Grr, I need to pump,. My left breast is SO full since Asher only ate on the right this morning before going to the babysitters. But my pumping break is not for another 40 min…

  • Phatbaby~ I love my moby, lol, I am very short so when I was looking at the ergo I found that alot of short reviewers said it didn’t fit their torso length, so I went with the Beco instead. I love my Beco so far and am glad I bought it, it is alot like the ergo just fits smaller. It is a bit hard to BF in when the infant insert is in, OH and even…[Read more]

  • Hmm, I would not be comfortable not using a cover in public, I am not ashamed but I didn’t want to flash anyone either. I also have a baby that pullsoff my left breast when letdown occurs. It only chokes him on the left breast, but he refuses to relatch until after the letdown has subsided. The cover also does the job of catching the wildly…[Read more]

  • Kinta~ With my first my nipples were sore and cracked, the right for 4 weeks, the left for the first 6 weeks. We also started with a bad latch on one side. She could latch on my right no problem btu on my left we couldn’t figure out the issue until we saw an LC. I def recomend you find one or at least have your midwife take a look at your latch.…[Read more]

  • Lawson~ Not advocating formula but when I had to switch my DD to formula I taste tested several brands. Some might find that gross but if I was goign to feed it to my daughter then I was going to know I was feeding her the least awful tasting. Enfamil has an extremely fishy after taste, really gross; Good Start left a nasty chalky coating in my…[Read more]

  • Here are my fav sites for carriers, http://www.peppermint.com & http://www.theslingstation.com they are both good sites and have carrier comparison charts.

  • So happy, I just started pumping a few days ago and today I have pumped 12.5 oz just by pumping between feedings! I am starting my stock pile for work but I am now afraid i will have too much put away since we are moving in Sept and I can’t take a freezer with me on the plane!

  • And i did partial EC with my daughter, she caught onto the pee part, but even now at 2 she stillwon’t poo on the potty! lol, I workfull time so couldonly do part time EC, but she was still pee pee potty trained at 16 months. I love the basis of EC, that we train our children to use diapers and suddenly at 2 yrs expect them to use a potty, after…[Read more]

  • Logansmom~ It will get better, pumping or nursing your nipples go through a ‘toughening’ phase. Mine just healed at 2 weeks this time, it took 4 weeks and six weeks per nipple when I was nursing my first baby. 2ndtime got it right, when you milk comes in (should be any day now!) after you finish pumping rub milk over you nipple and let it air dry.…[Read more]

  • Bri~No, his follow up with peds is Monday and I told them I would survive until then. I really just wanted out of the hospital and didn’t want the delay of waiting for another prescription! I think I will heal it is just hard starting out with this much nipple pain, but really he is doing so well, Evie didn’t latch on this quickly and her latch…[Read more]

  • My only real struggle right now is gassiness, and having people tell me to put gripe water in his bottle. At which point I explain he is not getting bottles yet, then i am told by women that their baby never got nipple confusion from offering bottles… Umm, well this is my baby and I don’t want to risk it! Obviously I am active duty military, I…[Read more]

  • After having my daughter I went back to work at 6 weeks PP. It was so hard but I have to work. It gets easier with time, having a good daycare/babysitter is crucial also! I had so many issues with the daycare I had my daughter in, once I found a babysitter I trusted and respected I felt so much more comfortable dropping her off. Good Luck!

  • MEGS~ Hey you! Totally agree with your LC, having a retained placenta sends mixxed hormonal signals and affected your supply. so here are a few things to boost supply and why. Fermented oatmeal (old fashioned oats not instant, if you want to know how to make them I will PM directions), mothers milk tea, fenugeek, more water! It works because it…[Read more]

  • I don’t think vitex helps with anovulation, but it is suposed to regulate irregular cycles and lengthen lutel phase…

  • Yea, irregular cycles was what made TTC so hard, mine were 26-42 days, and I had to be on top of taking my OPKs or I would miss ovulation… But we finally got it right!

  • I used to think baby leashes were mean, but I actually have one now. It is a puppy dog back pack and the ‘tail’ is the lead… She thinks it’s great, and I don’t have to worry about her running off or being snatched while in the store.
