I think you can have 3 cups of tea a day..(full caffeine)…and I think you are supposed to steer clear of coffee..I have 1 cup of normal tea in the morning..(to wake me up..lol) then I have decaffeinated in the day..and your not allowed energy drinks or anything like that at all..x
Oh I know all about caffiene and pregnancy. I didnt drink any coffee, soda or ate chocolate with my first pregnancy but now with a 2 year old, i drink about 3-4 cups of coffee a day and want to stop prior to becoming pregnant. I know some herbal teas are not advised during pregnancy, im just not sure which ones
you cant have raspberry leave tea. i drank coffee with dd and she is an amazing sleeper and extremely bright, i wouldn’t worry, i drink coffee second time round. The more you change the more stressed you feel and the worse it is for you and baby, a bit of coffee is fine.. obvs not gallons though.
you can drink caffiene the equivalent to 3 cups of coffee per day, so you can still have your daily cup of coffee, tea has alot more caffiene than coffee does (the teas with caffiene of course) you should limit caffiene intake during pregnancy because it can affect your baby’s eveloping central nervous system, but you can drink caffiene in moderation 🙂 and eat some chocolate!!!
i knew i couldnt survive without my coffee for my pregnancy so i did a ton of reasearch…caffeine is just like salt…every few years they change what they say about it (its good for u , its bad for u, its good in moderation..bla bla bla). my firm belief is this…anything in moderation is FINE and actually BETTER for u even during pregnancy or ttc-ing than completely cutting it out (except drugs and alcohol of course). I had my coffee every day although i actually lost the taste for it later in my pregnancy when all i wanted to drink ever was ice tea (although i was pregnant in the summer so that might have somethng to do with it…). anyway if u want to kick the caffeine habit just because, i have heard that any tea is ok but same as girl from ab(erin) said i have heard that they advise against certain herbal teas. if u want to ick the caffeine habit, cut down gradually and if u still want to drink warm stuff go with caffeine free tea or decaf. coffee but good luck…i still cant live without my coffee lol
I know I am just overly paranoid. i try and do everything by the bool so to speak. I always feel like if something were to happen, i did everything in my power to have a healthy baby. I know its safe but My OCD tells me otherwise lol.. Thanks for your input ladies, i will do further research on safe alternatives 🙂
