Wow $435 a month not bad only, because I have most of my baby stuff. I have been buying since I found out I was pregnant so maybe a total of $150 for everything and for diapers been buying monthly. I bought all of my stuff mostly at Garage Sales. I love Garage Sales and usually have good/excellent cute clothing, etc for babies priced cheap. I got an awesome crib/changing table/dresser combo for $25, etc. If your a last minute mom hurry up to garage sales and can save you tons of money for diapers and babies personal needs.

I got $965.00 all baby stuff has been supplied by my partners mother. Yay! I got off easy I think. I have only paid about $200.00 so far for diapers and I paid for half of the stroller/ car seat because my sister paid the rest! And his mother has bought diapers as well.

I dont think that you can ever calculate how much a baby will cost as it will change all of the time, the most important thing is that they are worth every penny.

We spend most of our discretionary money on our twins–but they are our entertainment now and the best entertainment we could ask for! We’ve been parents for 9 mos and we don’t spend money going to movies, dinner, clothes, etc on ourselves anymore–and we LOVE it b/c we enjoy spending the money on our kids–it really hasn’t put a strain on us–and I am staying at home with them so we have lost my FT paycheck—I wouldn’t make too much more than daycare would cost me, so it works best for us. Good luck all!

$1341 the first year and I was being nice to myself lol. Hopefully this will be kinda accurate.

This forum cracks me up.. Its totally a guesstimate thing.. If they were to break it down and give price ranges for the items it would be way more accurate… But its fun to play around with..

4,800? Not as bad as I was expecting… and hopefully I will get a few things on a shower or hand-me-downs. 😀

Not as bad as I thought it would be… my husband and I actually have budgeted more than double the amount showing and most of the items I checked off will be covered from our baby shower, looks like smooth sailing with finances, now hopefully we have a healthy, happy baby!!

Hmmm… this thing probably isn’t the best way to budget, just did it again with two small changes that more than doubled my original amount… think I’ll stick to my own budget for now, lol.
