Sounds like those have helped some people with mastitis, etc…interesting. See here for the reviews… http://www.pumpinpal.com/html/testimonials.htm

I meant to order them when I had the baby but didn’t! I hate to buy anything when I already have so many supplies from last time, but my nipples seem to be more bothered this time. Last time I pumped on the highest setting on the pump in style… this time on the lowest setting…so weird.

babybean-Try to nurse on one breast, and pump the other every time he nurses. It’s a pain, but you’ll build up your supply. I used to rotate each time. Nurse left, pump right, then nurse right, pump left.

I’ve been super sad about Kael (babyhartman’s baby) all day, since I read the news. He was so beautiful and she really was sweet. Her due date was a two days after mine, even though she had him ten days before. I have never been paranoid about SIDS but now I keep checking on Zoey. I simply can not imagine. It just doesn’t seem fair.

micaela, I’ve been back at work for 1.5 weeks now, and Braeden only drinks 4-5 oz while I am gone, and I am away from him for 10 hours, with the travel time. He doesn’t take a bottle at all (he’ll be a year old in 13 days) but takes a sippy cup well. He’s just not interested in the milk, unless it comes straight from Mommy. I want to stop pumping at work, since he is old enough to drink cow’s milk now, and is more willing to take that from a cup, but I don’t know how, because I want him to still nurse on the weekends, and I don’t want my supply to suffer. I tried skipping a pumping session yesterday, and by the time I got home to him, I thought my boobs were going to explode….

bri- when he sucks he i cant hear him swallow its just the fast sucking and then he gets mad after about ten mins. when nothing comes out. then he wont latch on and will just scream and cry so hard. He went from 8 wet diapers a day to now 3. I have been watching him really close for dehydration but i will have to try the compression nursing …. i have attemped to squeeze out some breast milk to see if that would get him to start sucking but nothing comes out when i squeeze i can get maybe a drop or two but thats it. Its strange going from one extream to the other …. i just wish he would latch on instead of screaming …….

I’m going to lose my mind. John had been doing so well with not spitting up much and then out of no where its back. He won’t just spit up he also throws up. It seems to happen mostly when he gets excited and wants to talk and play. I feel bad because I get so tired of changing BOTH our clothes that I don’t play with him sometimes. At night he never does but after his first morning feeding I’ll wait a good 10-20 mins before we get out of bed and go to change him, then it starts. Grrrrrr anyone know why this could be happening?

Sassy and Babybelly, I’m drinking Mother’s Milk Tea and have noticed my milk has doubled (I was only getting about 1/2 oz before so I’m still not getting what I need). I was hoping that in combination with Fenugreek, my supply would go up, but I haven’t been able to figure out the dosage yet so I’m still waiting to take it.

luv2bamama, I am in Michigan. 🙁 While it is nice to be able to build up a freezer stash in the beginning, all the pumping does take its toll! Right now I am pumping about 5oz total at work and that’s pumping three times. I start off with a bang, but fizzle out. 🙂

Good luck! And just for the record ( I know I’m a little late) I agree with the others! Get rid of the bottle! She’s old enough she should be able to take a sippy cup now 🙂

FRENCHBABY- Ewww, I remember feeling the same as you in the beginning! The pain was awful and I remember crying through the session and dreading putting my nipple in his mouth! See I always thought it wasn’t a latch problem, my LO would open real wide! But at 6wks I went to see a lactation consultant and she watch what I was doing and then guided my son for a good latch… my goodness, it felt AMAZING! I could have kissed her! Go find an LC, they love to help Mamma’s like you! Trust me, once you get that latch right the pain will go away! Mean time, keep your nipple up, toward your LO’s nose when she opens flip it in. This will assure that the nipple is way back in the mouth. Also do different positions to while nursing so there isn’t so much ‘pressure’ on one part of your nipple. If one side is worse then the other, give that nipple a brake and pump that side nurse the other. Tons of luck!
