Those are great but I am cooking for the family. It’s almost a waste for me to make two meals. So I have just learned to cook healthy and we eat as a family. HAHA! I think I’m eating less calories then they give you in WW anyways. I just need to move more.

Baltic Amber is awesome for teething. Alex’s a necklace all the time and no fussy baby.

god-iva – I was the same as you in the very beginning. I wasn’t afraid of not being able to produce. That seed was planted in my head when in just 2 days Alyssa lost 1lb. I saw the concerned look on my pedi’s face and when I told her how bad she’d been crying she told me my poor baby was hungry and extremely exhausted from lack of food and hence why she wasn’t nursing very well. Alyssa got into a vicious cycle of not eating well enough and therefore unable to sleep so when she did latch on, she was too tired to work for the food and she’d just pass out no matter what I did to wake her up. To have her gain her strength back her dr. told me to feed her 15 min on each side then top her off w/ 1oz of formula. That day I started this and she was so eager to eat it broke my heart!!!! I felt like a terrible mother not knowing that the whole time my baby was crying she was hungry. All the nurses even the LC’s at the hospital told me she was just fine and eating just fine. They told me her latch was great and she was eating well… but when I asked then why all the crying, it was just ‘oh she’s a fussy baby, that’s all’. It made me furious to think of all the questions I asked and everyone just seemed to blow me off like I was the weird one for questioning it. After a few meal times of supplementing I started pumping BM and getting enough to feed her through a dropper after nursing and sure enough in just 2 days she was off to nursing all on her own. I’m glad that she only got a cumulative of about 3oz of formula and none since then. Unfortunately, what it created was a paranoid mother first time mother. Every few days I was getting her weighed and I was weighing her after meals just to make sure she was eating enough, gaining weight, etc. Now it’s no longer an issue, but those first few weeks/months were scary for me. To this day I cannot think of those first few days when Alyssa cried and cried all night because she was hungry. Meanwhile we tried everything we could think of to soothe her (nursing being one of them but she wasn’t eating so it wasn’t helping either.) Anyway, just wanted to share my story… sorry for the long rant. I guess it’s something that still troubles me to this day.

Jessica – uhm… yeah. That would really upset me. Not to fan the fire but yeah… that wouldn’t be appropriate at all in my book. To go up to someone he doesn’t even know just to ask who they are there with? And then not to even introduce you? I’d be hot!!! Even the 2nd scenario seems unneccessary if you ask me. Sorry hun, but I don’t blame you being upset.

Hey ladies, just popping on for a bit. I’ve been extremely tired the last two days. Been cramping a bit too. Now I’m really hoping it’s my period coming back and not something ‘unplanned’. I do want a third but really need another year before TTC. Well we’ll see I guess. Give it a bit some time. HAHA! Hope you all are having a good weekend.

chell-the good news is since you can take it while you’re pregnant it should be fine to take while breastfeeding, so i would take it and keep breastfeeding. no need to be throwing up your toenails if you can keep from it. if your concerned call you doctor or pharmacist and ask about potential side effects.

At the beach! So far, no one has killed anyone yet (to refresh your memory, it’s me, Zoey (6 months), her dad (my boyfriend), his four year old twins (boy/girl) AND his ex-wife). Zoey LOVES the water. We started out on the beach but moved to the pool pretty quickly because her skin got irritated from the sand. Anyway. Keep your fingers crossed, guys. She’s not the most pleasant person ever.

Bri – sounds like Alex and Alyssa had very similar nights. Only Alyssa slept very well for the first 6 hours. Then started waking up for long periods and just wanted to play. Poor DH was up with her. I never heard her wake up. He let me sleep since I work in the AM’s. I feel so bad since he only really got about 3 hours of sleep, though. Hopefully she has some good naps today so he can also!

The one I got isn’t really dark but it is darker. It’s 11-12.5 in from the discription but I haven’t actually measured it. I notice a big difference if he’s not wearing it………http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003W0YBQE/ref=oss_product

I always feel a little weak when I’m hungry, but my iron levels were fine all through my pregnancy. I just have little snacks here and there throughout the day. I never allow myself to get really hungry. \\\ I couldn’t feel the letdowns until about 8 weeks of BFing, but I think that was because I didn’t know what they felt like. Once I realized the slight burning, itching sensation in the opposite nipple meant my LO would be immediately be swallowing for dear life, I understood that was a letdown. I only feel it though if my other boob has milk in it…I don’t feel it if it is empty. I usually get several letdowns per boob, depending how long she feeds for.

Is it normal for my 7 week old to just eat off one side at a time and for only 7-10 minutes at a time? He’s gaining weight and having the right amount of wet/poopy diapers so I guess he’s eating enough?
