I’m wondering whether my lo has dairy intolerance – a week away with little to no dairy in my diet equalled a very happy contented (easy) baby! Now I’m back eating cheese, yogurt and milk and my lo’s suffering. I’m going to do a test of not consuming any tomorrow – will that be enough to tell do you think?

I just wrote her on FB. She’s not feeling well right now but hopefully she’ll pop on and give you all a boost. Her name is Jen..aka luvbeingamom. Hopefully she’ll be able to.

also danielle i just reread your post, i probably would stop pumping until your soreness goes away. pumping always made me sore even after nursing was painless so i’m sure that’s only making your soreness worse.

At 3 weeks Katie was sleeping 6 hours, 2 to 9 months she slept 8 to 11 hours, then we both got sick and I almost lost my supply and since then (yep, the last 5 months!) I’m lucky to get 4 hours straight. I miss those days. Thankfully I knew how lucky I was and appreciated it. But wow do I miss my sleep! So ladies not getting any sleep, I sympathize!

We went to the fair today and there was a ‘Nursing Mothers Tent’. I was so excited! I didn’t get to use it because as i’ve mentioned before, Ella isn’t nursing like at all anymore, but I was still really happy to see it. I know that many of you would just nurse wherever, but i never used to. I think it’s great that they had a place that was cooled off specifically for nursing mothers. I was proud!

Can you not get a bigger rear facing car seat with more room. I know we used to sell some that were designed for rear and forward facing so they were very roomy.

HAHA Leslie, it would have been 3 babies under 4!! Chris would have only been 3 1/2! YIKES! I know it would be exciting but there are too many things that I want to happen first like buying a new car that can fit three kids. Next August for sure….not this one! I’ll be fine with a May 2012 baby. HAHA!

I am also super picky about who watches the kids..I think its total mommy instinct. Leslie I am glad Lawson is now in a safe environment!

illy- i don’t think it’s a sign of hunger, i think it’s just interest. it’s a fun thing that you’re doing there, eating! but it’s really recommended that you wait until 6 months for solids. About your supply, i really don’t think it’s possible to just lose your supply out of nowhere. As long as you are feeding on demand you should be fine.. your body will adjust and make more milk for you.

Balsa–you should always wait at least 4 days between each new food before giving a new food to make sure there are no reactions. Once the food has been established, they can eat all they want of it. I never gave my daughter rice cereal, but gave her avacodo to begin with. I prefer giving her fruits & veggies. Even a month into solids, I don’t use the rice cereal–there are just too many other vitiman rich foods out there to waste on filler (in my opinion). My daughter LOVEs mango, peaches and banana. She will tolerate green beans and sweet potatoes. If you’re interested in making your own foods (WAY Cheeper), the ‘Super Baby Food’ book is a fantastic reference!
