I went to go get my mother milks and of course they were sold out.. Grrrr! I need to get a extra supply as we have some events coming up that baby can’t come to. Ever since we went out of town and I forgot a piece to the pump that little extra I was able to get throughout the day is no longer there.

Grrrrrr what’s happened????? My 3 mo was doing really well at falling asleep after her evening feed which we do lying down in my bed. She’d fall asleep and I’d move her to her crib when I went to bed – these past few nights though it takes forever for her to finally give up the boob and sleep undisturbed without rooting for it every 10 mins or so. She’s fed and asleep then she’ll wake up and get cross that my boob is no longer there for a quick suckle so I come back get back into position and she falls asleep, i leave to go eat, see to ds, etc and she sleepd until a noise disturbs her and the whole process starts over again. Same goes when I fancy an afternoon nap but even when I’m in bed with her she’ll wake up rooting after a little while. I’ve tried a soother but she hates it and gets crosser than ever.

Beyuteful – I love Lilypadz because they prevent leaks. They are a reuseable pastey HAHA! You can swim with them and wear no bra at all which is nice.

We called Ayden MonkeyMan, and Zach ends up ‘chubbalubba’ most of the time. Both the boys came out looking like little monkeys. Super skinny with long arms. With Ayden the monkey name stuck because he climbs all over anything, can reach anything, at any height (I have to put things on top of the fridge if I don’t want him to have them) and is completely fearless. Zach fattened up right away though. Again I have to turn to the beauty of breastmilk with him. He was born at 34wks and from the start, my milk was fattier than my milk ever was with Ayden. They say that your body knows when baby is born early and it adapts the milk to what the early baby needs, and after seeing it, I have to believe it! Anyway, he looks chubby even though he doesn’t really weight all that much, so my sister started calling him cubbiers and chubbalubba. My dad calls Ayden skooter, be he is the only one. From birth, Ayden would be able to scoot himself across the bed and since Dad was the one watching him all the time, he created his own nickname. 🙂

styx – I used to get that all the time with Chris and I don’t with Alex. I remember that it would tingle and make me have to breath deeply like I couldn’t really breath. The need would overwhelm my thoughts. HAHA! If your baby isn’t hungry then pump. It’ll help.

littlemiracle09- ask your doctor but I think you are okay to keep the bottle with the blood in it. I know that sounds gross but my doctor said it was fine. Get some good lotion from the drug store for breastfeeding and hang in there. You will be okay =) Good luck!

sweettimes80 – It’s saying, how much do you want to risk it. I don’t smoke cause I don’t want to risk it (besides it being gross), I wear my seat belt cause I don’t want to risk it, I don’t spank cause I don’t want to risk it. I resent my parents for spanking. I remember having my pants pulled down and spanked on several occassions. I do not remember what I did wrong. And, I do remember being punished for things I did not do. I was the third girl and got blamed for things I wouldn’t do. It’s a question, are you willing to risk your child’s future or their love for you because of it?

hi ladies: ive been following whats going on b/c i saw it on the comment spy, ill prob be in here soon as im due with my second (im 38 weeks now) Anyway couple of things if you dont mind me butting in…i totally agree the pics i saw arent offensive, esp considering that the illustrations on this page are more graphic and the one on the four month page is similiar to what you are posting (and the 4 month one isnt even exclusivly a page on BF like this is) My onlt thing is that although i agree the pics arent offensive i wouldnt go about dealing with this angrily i dont think it would help your cause. Its a heated topic i know, and theres nothing wrong with BF a baby and seeing in in public or on pics, esp since none of what you posted are showing nipples etc that could be considered ‘innapropriate’ I just worry that if in being angry and defensive (not that i blame you) youre message about it being natural will be lost in a fight instead of being recognized for the beautiful act that it is. Again im NOT trying to upset anyone because i do agree these photos shouldnt be deleted esp if they are posted 1. on your personal proflie or 2. on a BF forum…Admittedly her wording of the BF photos being ‘offensive to some’ maybe wasnt the best way to say it, but maybe she is just trying to keep the site as a whole generic and welcoming for everyone and maybe just needs a gentle reminder that the photos/illustrations posted by the website itself are similiar…im really hope i didnt make anyone angry!!! Hopefuly this is resolved soon without anyone having to be booted from the site

When is the best time to pump? I just tried it for the first time to test out my pump and I didn’t get anything out, just a couple of drops.

kalliehilliker -Completely possible and your chances of success is really good. There are foster and adoptive moms that lactate for their babies. You probably haven’t completely dried up yet so I’d suggest getting your baby to latch on. After your baby is done I would pump, even if nothing is coming out. I would also suggest fenugreek, blessed thistlek, mother’s milk teas, fermented oatmeal, white sticy rice and raw almonds. All have been known to help increase supply. But the best thing is to get your baby to latch on and keep going. Do nursing marathons which is when you just nurse all weekend long. Stay in your pjs and just nurse. Milk goes by supply and demand so the more you feed the more you’ll make.
