    Miss Chumus-you drop one feeding for one week…then drop another the next week. So say your midnight feeding (only an example) gets dropped this week…then next week drop one in the daytime…then the next week drop another one. I hope this makes sense. Checkout out-it has great explainations on how to wean safetly.



    LauraID – my son is 6 weeks and has always only taken one breast at a time and my supply is insane. I have more milk than I know what to do with! So – it is not hurting my supply at all.



    When I was pregnant, I thought 6 months. did some research and now hope to go at least a year, but for the time being I’ll just say i’ll let him lead. I must admit I’m addicted to it now that the tough part is over. he’s 16 weeks old. i just hope he weans before high school. teeheehe



    So far I’ve managed to eek out enough during these times. I have a huge frozen supply so I shouldn’t need to supplement with formula for a while. Plus this is the second day I’ve went to pick my lo up at daycare and he has only eaten a couple of ounces of his final bottle. The ladies that care for him think he is waiting on me and just eats enough to make it through. My sweet little boy loves his Mommy and taking milk straight from the tap I guess. I think I’m sending a smaller bottle for tomorrow. It’ll take a little of the pressure off.



    lore, spiting up can be from many things. Your LO could not be handling something you are eating well (usually dairy or wheat are the usual culprits). It could be reflux but if you let them eat while sitting up more might help keep your LO from spiting up. Also, for the gagging on the one breast than the other, just b/c it feels the same doesn’t mean the flow is the same. Try pumping the one breast for a couple minutes before feeding your LO and see if that helps. When you let down it might be to fast in the one breast causing your LO to gag a little. Good luck. Hope the doc can help more.



    I also want to add that all of my kids were co sleepers. This baby was a co sleeper as well, but died during a nap in his bassinet.


    Mama2b- If you pinch your nipple by her mouth sometimes it makes it easier to latch on.Also, if your breasts are engorged, try expressing some milk to make the latch on easier. Sometimes I will drip some milk on the corner of my daughter’s mouth to get her attention and jiggle my boob in her mouth. Hope this helps. Good luck with the lactation consultant.



    laurenr – Before I got pregnant again my period was all over the map. Anywhere from 60 days to 20 days!



    PGFirstTimer – Sorry, but I’m glad you did the right thing for your supply. You can always just use condems? Plus, has your cycle come back yet? If you are using a condem plus no cycle then you shouldn’t have the worry of pregnancy.



    9 months pp, work full time, feeds solids and still no AF. I’m scared of it will be like when it decides to show,



    Hello ladies, question,how long before I notice a difference I’m the amount on pumping out? Also what do you ladies do when your on the car and the baby wants to nurse, and won’t take a pacifier. My son does this quite often while were 0it, and idk what to do other than pull over, and nurse if I Dnt he will get so upset he throws up



    *wyatts*mommy* – A lot of women bleed for that long. I wouldn’t worry yet. It can take up to 3 months for your body it get back on track. If it continues much longer then you might want to ring your doctor but not yet.


    President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, H.R. 3590, on March 23rd and the Reconciliation Act of 2010, H.R. 4872, on March 30, 2010. Among many provisions, the law amends the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.Code 207) to require an employer to provide reasonable break time for an employee to express breast milk for her nursing child for one year after the child’s birth each time such employee has need to express milk. The employer is not required to compensate an employee receiving reasonable break time for any work time spent for such purpose. The employer must also provide a place, other than a bathroom, for the employee to express breast milk. If these requirements impose undue hardship, an employer that employs less than 50 employees is not subject to these requirements. Furthermore, these requirements shall not preempt a state law that provides greater protections to employees.



    Yea I have to wear my bra under the tanks….I had never heard of an actual nursing shirt. Where do you find them. I would like to get away from my nursing cover but I am not good at keeping covered and not that comfortable yet
