I am getting 4-6 oz when I pump. I freeze my milk in 4oz so that there is not waste. I think we are all normal :0)

Also, about the weight thing, I think Calvin’s packing it on. He was born May 11 weighing 7 lbs 12 oz. At his appointment on the 17, he weighed in at 7 lbs 6 1/2 oz. At his appoinment on Tuesday the 24th he was up to 7 lbs 15 oz. So in a week he had gained 8 1/2 oz. I could be totally wrong but that seems like a lot to me. I was just so happy he gained the weight back that he had lost 🙂

Expecting, it is very normal to have less milk in the evenings than you do during the day. Best thing to do is to keep putting baby to the breast, alternating sides until he is finished. This will help your body know to make more milk during this nighttime period.

Thanks everyone. She drinks 4oz per feeding. I heard if you give her less she will be up more at night making up for the calories lost. I will definitely check out that video. I think that I am just really tired.

hey ladies…so I asked yesterday about pumping and giving the LO a bottle before 6 weeks..I did it. I pumped and surprised my DH and let him feed her for the first time when he got home from work. I have to admit I hated every minute of it! I actually teared up when I held her afterward! I didn’t let her go for teh rest of teh night!!!!! I couldn’t believe I got so emotional over it. I just felt like I was giving her away! I mean it’s her Dad but still!! LOL I dont think I’ll be giving her bottle very often!

After 2 weeks of unsuccessful ‘mush’ introduction (baby rice, baby oatmeal, and 2 jars) at 6 months, we decided to throw out that idea and do kind of a modified BLW. DD still ate mostly what we ate but I offered it to her in pieces. A lot of people don’t realize how strong baby chompers are even without teeth! From about 7 months to 12 months she would eat almost anything on her plate. The last month or so she’s become a little more picky and has her off days, but one of her favourite meals is still Indian butter chicken 🙂 And spaghetti! But boy do I miss those EBF days! No food worries and no stinky poops… *sigh*

Zoey’s head went from 75 to 95 in 6 weeks…it is not off the charts. She was supposed to have another Dr. appointment this coming Tuesday but my sister just found out she’s being induced that day so we put it off. Zoey is doing everything developmentally fine now, even sleeping less. Dr. isn’t too worried, even though NOW it’s off the charts. But my dad, sister, brother, her dad and her brother all have huge heads. So we’re thinking genetics. Still going to follow up on it though.

TV bad for the eyes?? oops! Baby John just loves to stare at the tv. I’ll lay him on the floor facing the other way while i’m in the kitchen and by the time I get back he’s made his way to the front of the tv. H’es my 2nd but with my first I said no tv and no sweets until I saw that made him quite! lol Don’t take that the wrong way I didn’t always do it.

On the cereal topic, when we started trying it at 6 months we found that she actually slept worse! And I had to be sure to give it to her long before bedtime or she was guaranteed to wake up.

lexi..i was doing what you are doing and the outcome is exactly what lilmamamads said..my LO ended up eating way more frequent because my supply went up and all he ever got was alot of foremilk..my solution was to block feed..i feed him on one side only for the full feed so he gets that rich hind milk at the end too..and i pump on the other side while he nurses..the other upside is i do the feed him, pump all at once so im not nursing AND pumping at different times..goot luck!!
