Hubby was an only child, I am one of eight. He wanted two children for the purpose of procreation, I wanted a houseful. After Ayden was born, we were still in the hospital and my hubby has Ayden., he looked at me and said ‘I can do four.’ So, the current plan is four babies, but he gets the baby bug too, so who knows how many we will end up with! We planned on waiting 18mo before getting pregnant again after Ayden because it was the ‘smart thing to do,’ but that didn’t happen. We planned on waiting 18mo after Zach more as a health thing, hoping to see if that would help me carry longer, but we both are wanting to start trying again in a couple of months!

ninjen – If its not PP bleeding and you are sure it’s menstral bleeding then you should be fine. I know after delivery I would stop bleeding and then carry something heavy or go for a long walk and start bleeding again.

Maddux – The caplets are more concentrated form, MMT is made from Blessed Thistle and Fenugreek. I drink MMT daily because I like tea. I don’t drink coffee so I drink that instead. Fenugreek works but you have to take a lot of it and it can get expensive. You know you are taking enough when your sweat smells like maple syrup.

Zoey will be 6 months on August 11th and I’m still sad she sits up by herself…much less ready for her to eat big people food. But her dad gave her some prunes tonight and she LOVED them. Sigh.

Speaking of her father – he is highly allergic to beans, peanuts, and this includes soy beans. So, his grandmother heated some hormel chili with no beans tonight and told him to eat it. He did. Apparently it has something in it he can’t eat because he had a moderate allergic reaction. Of course, he just started a new job a few months ago and his health insurance doesn’t kick in until Aug 1st…tomorrow. lol. So I brought him some Benadryl and put him to bed. Which meant I was responsible for Zoey and his four year old twins. Seth and Lilly. Props to all of you guys with more than one child. I think I could handle it better if they were four and eight. Or even two and six. But I would finally get Zoey to sleep and Lilly had to poop. So I had to lay Zoey down, take Lilly upstairs, watch her poop and wipe her bottom (don’t look forward to potty training Zoey btw. lol). And then they saw a beetle. And freaked. Woke Zoey up again. And then it was bedtime and I put a movie in for each of them to fall asleep to so that woke Zoey up AGAIN. Aaaaaaaah. No more kids for me! But we’re home now and I’m about to snuggle down with her (who is, of course, wide awake now). Night guys!

On a side note, Alyssa has started to mimic our babbling. It may not always sound the same but when we say ‘ma-ma-ma-ma’ or ‘da-da-da-da’ she’ll move her mouth in the same motion and often make similar sounds followed by a loud shriek and HUGE smile. She also just learned to ‘splash’. I thought it was just a fluke thing during her bathtime. I say ‘splash-splash-splash’ and splash her water around then she starts splashing too and giggling and smiling. We did that several times a few nights ago during her bath and now when I say ‘splash-splash-splash’ she slaps her thigh as if to splash water but she’s not always in her tub! haha. I can’t believe she’s made that association already. Oh, she’s also learned how to crawl out of her tub. Kind of a bittersweet thing since I have to watch her like a hawk now so she doesn’t hurt herself but it’s so awesome to watch her pull herself up and position herself just so and then finally climb over. I think I’m going to move her baby bath tub into our reg. bath tub and start bathing her there so she can’t fall off the counter top…. I’m such a proud mommy!!! 🙂

Besides lilypadz which are great I have only used disposibles. Medela and Avent. The Avents were HUGE and uncomfortable. Medela actually works in a pinch.

Hawiians usually have longer names that they shorten. Chris is Kekoa and Alex is Iolani. They have meaning to them. Chris’ name means that he is the protector of the royal line of Kamehameha since well he would be this generations if there still was court. Alex’s name came from a dream of the royal hawk flying over the rainforest therefore his means Rainmaker of the royal hawk, ‘Io. Oh and yes it was raining on the day of his birth. HAHA! It took a while to pronounce Chris’ name. The great uncles are the ones that gave it to him. They had a longer version of Alex’s but I shortened it in the hospital. Chris’ is ‘kay-ko-ah Ka oo-ah oo-la O Ka-lan-ee new-ee may-a-may-a’ and Alex’s is ‘Ka-oo-ah O ee-o-lan-ee’ Easier said when they are in trouble! HAHA!

Wow ladies, we sure are active today! I have a question for you more seasoned bfers. Rachel is a month old and has started only waking up once during the night (YAY!) Anyway, my bbs are so full when she finally wakes up but she is still only taking one bb per feeding, leaving my other one until morning. Is this going to eventually hurt my supply and should I be pumping that one during the night?I really haven’t started any serious pumping because I’m a SAHM.

Laura, thanks. It was extremely painful. She was 22 weeks. Paige lived for a few minutes. They got some shots of the family and that was it. She has an older son that was born at 29 weeks. We’d had hoped that she’d make it that long but nope. She was 10in and 14oz. Makes me feel very blessed! As for your baby’s head. I wouldn’t worry. You probably measured in a different spot then they do or something like that. If your doctor isn’t concerned that I wouldn’t be either.

scarlet, have you tried nursing in a quiet room. I know it sucks for when you are out but maybe there is too many distractions going on. Even if she’s hungry she’s too busy to actually eat.

god-iva and noah, I know. I was right there with you. I read god-iva’s first post where she let us know what was going on and I was red hot. Wanted to get a piece of my mind out, but I made myself stop. I wasn’t going to accomplish anything being as angry as I was. I wasn’t even coherent! I don’t know why the pic on the 4mo page is okay, and ours are not. I had pics taken down on my before and I know how it feels. You are so proud of your lo and then someone comes in and says that they disagree by taking it down?!? The reason for the removal doesn’t matter, its the fact that they removed your baby. It hurts!
