Ladies…if you ever have to give your lo bm in a bottle, which brand bottles work well for you. I bought breastflow but haven’t tried them yet. Any suggestions??

*danielle* – Just to add from what the other ladies have said about Mastitis. I had it THREE times!! Once when my son was 7wks, then again around 10wks, and then 12wks. I never went on antibiotics or went to the doctor. It always cleared after 24hrs. I can remember feeling like death! Anyhow, my point is, I never had a pain in my breasts. Each time I got it was because I was away from baby/my pump for too long. I couldn’t go more then 3hrs without either pumping or nursing.

2 anyone who can simply answer these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.
How long can pumped breastmilk last in a bottle at room temp.?

How many days can breastmilk last in the fridge ?

Once breastmilk is warmed or taken out from the refridgerator how long does it last if not dranked right away

Jessica, if he still has a thrust reflex then he won’t choke. They learn to get it to their mouths, then chew, then swallow. For the first few days/weeks they will get in and it comes right back out. As for close in ages. Alex and Chris are 26 months apart. I love it! They can share toys and keep each other company. I don’t know if I would want them closer although I know a few girls that do. I think 2 years is perfect difference.

Bri: she’s 4 months old, so I think it’s a no-go. We actually live in Bremerton now. We used to live on ridgetop, by the gas station.

on the topic of leaking, i still leak every night, and Laney wakes to nurse at least once if not 2, or 3 times. so i just wear nursing pads to bed.

jpeanut503, it differs for every woman. Some get theirs back right away (we are the super lucky ones!) others don’t get it back until the start introducing solids and then there are those that really make us that get our periods back right away really sick…they don’t get it back until a month or so after weaning! If they nurse for two years, they might not get it back until a little past that…two years plus WITHOUT a period?!?!? Makes me jealous!!! I get might back between 6-8wks post, just like clockwork.

lisseth, congratulations! I’m 7 weeks into what i hope to be a year of EP and you are a beacon of hope that it can be done. I’ve been reading all I can find on exclusively pumping and the best suggestion I’ve found for weaning from it without too much pain is to drop a session, go a week, drop a session, go a week, and so on, until you are down to a pump a day. Then pump every second day, and then you should be done! Also, pump for shorter periods of time, or pump just until your breasts feel more comfortable. As to bra question, I tend to ‘fill up’ more quickly when I go braless, just an observation I’ve made.

Lawson: I have an awful MIL, so personally, I would just say no. Any visits are supervised, and as soon as she starts crying I take her back. Those are the rules with us… do what you think is best for Lawson, even if that means making the in-laws unhappy. BTW, any news on reducing your hours?

illy2 – Being warned is one thing. Being told that you will be deleted is another. We all use the Internet at our own risk. That includes buying things online or posting pictures on whatever site you do.

i was also just wondering what BF positions you guys usually use, and when your baby starts to throw a fit while nursing what position do you use to try and retach them with…just curious. i usually only use the cradle, i have tryed football before but do not find that position comfortable at all..

Mommyof2in10 – My LO just went 3 weeks without a BM so don’t worry. I took her to the docs and health visitors over and over and they just kept telling me not to worry and they were right. She seems back to her usual once a day again now. I think she must have been growing because she has gone up a clothes siz

I have a question, I had a lot to drink last night so I have been pumping and dumping since 4am last night. at what point can I start using my milk again? I had like 8 beer or so… should I wait until tomorrow?

TonynOllysmommy: my LO went through phases like that too. If they start fussing, just get up and do something different, play, walk, sing…etc. and then go back to nursing. And keep track of your diet, some things you eat may upset your babies little tummy. Keep up the great work 🙂
