illy – it could be early teething (my son got his first tooth between 3-4 months). If it is, you can usually see the buds just under the surface of the gums. Sometimes they can take a while to break through. I’d say that if you can’t see anything near the surface that’s it’s something else.

Is it possible for a bf baby to have some form of reflux? My little guy has been spitting up ALOT lately. Right after feedings and all different times in the day. He has started to cry at the breast sometimes and arching his back, chewing on my nipples. I think I might have an overactive let down but he has always been fine with it and it only seems to be bad when I am very full. At night he cannot sleep longer than 2 hrs and sleeps on his side with his back arched. He has cut down on hisfeedings lately. he used to nurse every 2 hrs, now it is 3-3 1/2 hrs. Any ideas??? Oh and he is 18 weeks old.

styx- Im using Dr.Browns level 1 nipples. Im pumping 12-13 oz a day at work. I guess I need some oatmeal. Now Im freaking out because I will literally only have one time I can pump when the kids come back, busy teaching and meetings all day long. This is really making me sad

meganshell- my placenta is still in my freezer. unfortunately i had to deliver at a hospital due to increased blood pressure during my pregnancy but was still able to deliver naturally… not even an iv.. anyway i called 3 hospitals ahead of time to let them know i wanted to take my placenta home and delivered at the hospital that was more liberal to it. i still had to fill out a form saying i was taking home medical waste to me it’s not waste. I told them that it was for religious reasons and the loop is they can’t question it once you bring religion into it. They said I was the only person to take it home ever…to even request it. So I’ll bury it in the back yard and plant a tangerine tree on top of it and it will be her tree forever.

guilty for nursing to sleep?!? ha! i do it all the time and my guy is 14 months old. i do it just to sit down a bit when i get tired of chasing after him too! i figure why not. there’s a reason it works. and i love that i got quoted a couple of pages back. it’s so true and it’s my motto about everything. ‘I’ve never met a teenager that won’t…’ I just hope my kid isn’t the one that proves me wrong!

seuban0 – Amoxicillian was what made have to go dairy free with Chris. He had an ear infection at 4 months. He developed horrible diarrhea and it wouldn’t let up. After a month of trying other things I went dairy free and it cleared up. He ended up not being able to handle any form of dairy until about 11months and no cow’s milk until 15. Horrible stuff! We go with Omnicef now.

keiko972 – have you tried fenugreek, MMT or fermented oatmeal. A lot of women on here have had success with those to increase supply. I often eat fermented oats to increase my supply. I work full-time and have to pump so I know what it’s like to have a dip in supply.
