Apparently its been treated and he said he is fine now.

milo-baby – No it’s not too late. You’ll want to start pu,ping and getting your baby latched on. Start fenugreek, blessed thistle, mother’s milk teas and even talk to a LC about getting on meds to help build suply.

emilee my oldest used to bite as he was falling asleep, its so painful. My health visitor told me to try not to show a reaction as they can sometimes start to think its a game.

styx – That’s funny. I’ve lost friends over these things too. Not that I cared. I deleted my husband’s exboss’ wife from FB because she would make comments on my posts about why she stopped at 3 months. Get this one, she stopped because her HUSBAND wanted the boobs back. Granted their children are my age but honestly would you broadcast that reason? Even back then we knew breast was best. Why couldn’t he wait one more year. Seriously? It drives me crazy. Anyways, that was just one of the comments. People drive me crazy. I’ve been friends with some of the ladies on this site but have deleted some of them too because they can’t stand my stance on the subject of natural parenting and attachment parenting. Their loss! HAHA!

Laura, I worked in childcare for years before DH and I even started TTC or thinking about TTC. I LOVED it and I had so much fun. I worked in centers and also as a nanny. It breaks my heart to see other childcare providers not enjoying working with children as much as I did. Unfortunatly in this day and age childcare is a booming business and there are a lot of people who just want to take advantage of it. I am still baking my baby girl and DH and I have always made it so that I would be a SAHM so I cant even begin to imagine how hard it must be for a mother to find someone she can trust to not only care for but to also play with and provide love and fun and happiness to your child while you are away! I completely understand why she wuld be upset even if her daughter was abused or anything… its still hard to imagine. It must be heart breaking for her to just be away from her child… and to know that her child isnt being loved like she would be providing is just sad. I hope that she is able to find a better provider soon. It is not an easy job but a lot of people think it is and they make a bad name for the good providers who really do just love children and enjoy teaching them and playing with them! I can not wait for Alison to be here and in my arms for me to sing to, rock and snuggle!

Makes DD boobs look tiny and a dress look like a shirt! You know you’re big when you out grown maternity clothes. I was in full maternity by 8 weeks and growing out of it by 35.

god-iva, in the mornings when I am getting ready for work, if I don’t get dressed in the bathroom and come back to get dressed by the bed, Zach will crawl over, climb up and latch right on. At this stage, I am pretty sure that he thinks he has an open bar if I don’t have things covered up!

Mommies….did any of you breastfeed your second child after having a bad experience with BFing the first? Is it easier to BF with a toddler running around or just to give a bottle?? Should I invest in a pump so that I have the convenience of bottle feeding but the benefits of BFing? The pump is a big investment and I don’t want to make it if the whole process or Bfing and pumping will be overwhelming with my 2 year old running around needing my attention at the same time. Help! I need some advice!!

cherry- you’ll hear this from all of the ladies. . . most new breastfeeding mothers feel their babies aren’t getting enough to eat. What makes you feel like your little one isn’t getting enough at night? Keep in mind that they should be eating every two hours (or even more often, if they’re like Zoey was at that age), even through the night. It can be exhausting. The problem with giving bottles is that it can hurt your milk supply. So you can actually create a supply problem when there wasn’t one in the first place. When your little one is that young, they’re still building your supply. Have you exclusively breastfed until now? Or have you supplemented? Even if you have been supplementing, you can slowly wean the baby off of that as you build your supply back. I learned the hard way that giving bottles (while maybe a little more reassuring) isn’t the answer to supply problems. It took me a while to come back from that. But I promise it gets easier and eventually, they do sleep more and eat less frequently. I was the human pacifier, incarnate. 19 hours a day, some days. Truly. But Zoey is six months old now and she latches on for a snack, eats, and goes back to exploring the world around her! Hard as it is in the early days…it’s kinda like childbirth. You remember it was hard but the reward makes you forget the struggles. Hang in there! As for businesses that are pro-breastfeeding…I’m not sure of any in Texas as I’m all the way over here in Tennessee. I can tell you I worked for Sears for a couple of months before I decided to be a SAHM and they were great! Maybe you could just bring it up in the interview process. And look in to your state laws. Some states protect nursing mothers.
