So I did breast feed me first but I don’t pump for my second. That’s too much work. By the time you pump the milk you could be done nursing. I suggest having things for your toddler to do. Toys like puzzles or even books to read with yu while feeding. Definately my son learned that was the time to make mischief. HAHA! Just how it goes!

Good morning ladies. I hope everyone’s questions were answered cause it seemed like it. Leslie, that is amazing. I can’t believe it is so expensive for just doing the paperwork for adoption. I too was wondering if you are able to use the same donor so Lawson’s little sibling would be a ‘full’ blood sibling. Not that she’ll care at all because she’ll enjoy having a brother or sister. HAHA! I wish it weren’t so darn expensive though. No wonder you want to live in a box as you say!

scarlet begonia – Never heard of beans but eggs is from a tolerance. Many babies just can’t handle whites until about a year and yolks around 9 months or so.

Bouza – I got a baltic amber necklace for Alex and LOVE it. He cut two teeth without pain. Well, he had pain for two days while I waited to get the necklace but after that he’s been a charm. HAHA! As for water! Hell no! HAHA! Water can be dangerous for little ones, especially too much. At six months our doctor said we could do an ounce or two. He now sips out of my cup but that’s about it. You are right that breastmilk has water and with the heat you want to keep nursing as much as possible.

illy2 – I ditto the ‘HA’! HAHA! I nursed Chris to sleep until he was around 18months, he then started staying awake and I’d put him down. He is the best sleeper on this planet! Even now he sleeps 12 hours at night and takes 2-4hour naps…He’s almost 3. Alex I try to nurse to sleep. Most naps and bedtime it works but not always. I had to take a late night walk to get him down. Ugh! HAHA! Oh well. Don’t worry about it. Most breastfeeding moms nurse to sleep at some point.

Ollie has a viral chest infection so calpol and milk for him. James is off colour also with his teeth. And Dh is like should I still go on a 25 mile hike tomorrow. I shouldn’t have to ask him not too. He should think kids not well i’ll stay home. Men just don’t think

Scarlet- I know what you mean about feeling really determined. My son is taking all breast milk except for 1 bottle of formula a day and it kills me. In my mind I still have not been successful in relactating until it’s 100% BM. I have been stuck at this plateau for about a month now and I have tried EVERYTHING! Can you not nurse her during her dream feed? But I would say that you are at the point that you should probably go with the goat milk so that you can be healthy. I am sure this stress is not making it any easier on your production. And a happy HEALTHY mom is what’s best for baby!

    Hey!!
When i started breastfeeding, i absolutely hated it!! I dont know why, i just felt so tied down (i had the baby blues pretty bad ) and id just deal with it because i knew i wanted the best for my baby, so i made a 3 month commitment. I started to enjoy it more once my son and i got a bit more comfortabkle with it. i had A LOT of help from public health nurses and they kept my head up for me and now my sons 3 months and i really enjoy breastfeeding. It was the first 8 weeks that were the hardest. I was always stressing about milk supply (i became obsessed and worried all the time about my milk) but they kept telling me, ‘dont worry, if hes not getting enough milk ull know’ well my son is such a happy baby, doesnt cry a lot, and he lets me know when hes hungry and when hes full, and hes awake a lot more now, so i know i have lots and lots of milk.
Well my son is 3 months old now and i plant to continue breastfeeding for another 6 months LOL i love it and I know my son does to.
Dont give up if u ever feel like your failing. Get help and dont stress, ur baby will let you know if he/she isnt getting enough, and even if he/she isnt,. nursing every hour-2 a day (plan to breast feed all day pretty much) the stimulation will bring ur supply up . I did that a couple days , and it helped a lot.
