babybellybliss – She is huge! That’s awesome. I feel for you with the clothes thing. Even though everything was hand-me-downs from my first son there were still outfits that he never wore. We were in 3month clothes for about two week or so. Being almost 11lbs at birth pretty much did that. We also had to give away two packs of newborn diapers. They weren’t the cheap kind either. I didn’t realize until he was 3days old and peeing out of diapers that Huggies Supreme Newborns only go up to 10lbs! That would explain why they didn’t fit.

Lawsons Mom – Hopefully Lawson won’t get teeth until 9 months or so. That was when Chris started. It took about a week or teaching him not to be we got through it. Alex is also a very vigorous nurser. He has a powerful suck and also clamps down when he’s done. He’s already learned that I take my nipple out of his mouth when he’s done and he doesn’t like it so he clamps down (even in sleep) so I won’t. Ugh! I have to use my finger to release the suction. HAHA! I’m not looking forward to biting eitehr but at least I know I’ve gotten through it once and I can again.

I’ve heard vinegar but it also washes away with the first rain or sprinkler.

babybean3 – I know google isn’t the best way for medical advice but Dr. Sears along with several other sites have a breakdown on what you can and can’t take during pregnancy and breastfeeding. They are put into categories on safe (A) down to not safe (D).

hannahkay, the mirena wont make u gain weight. the hormones in it are local and dont spread beyond the uterus. if u want the same thing without hormones, u can try paragard. its a hormone free iud with just as much effectiveness (less than 1%)

My lo had a horrible stuffy nose that lasted for over a month I tried lots of saline water washes, anti bacterial drops, suction etc and then finally breastmilk after 2 goes she was cured! Can’t believe I didn’t try it before.

Yesterday I was at a friends barbecue with my 2.5 year old and my 12 week old. Dh was in the pool with my son and my lo was sleeping and I was helping out in the kitchen. Well lo wakes up so one of my friends aunts who Id just met picks her up and walks outside with her. Next thing I hear lo really crying so I go outside to see if shes ok. The Aunt is only sticking a full Avent bottle of cows milk mixed with pureed apple and pear belonging to my ds into her mouth and my lo was protesting! Bless!!!! I wonder how much she would have drunk… Luckily she hates drinking from a bottle.

Em2, I know it is such a shame that these people are employed in the childcare profession.

The reason you are aren’t supposed to mix cold and warm is because it creates an environment for bacteria to grow which will make it spoil quicker. I wouldn’t throw it out but I would stop mixing it. Use a different bottle throughout the day and then when they are all cold then you can add them together and freeze it. If you have a medella you can buy more bottles that fit onto the pump. I actually like those bottles better then the two that came with the pump. Easier to read the numbers and such. HAHA! Just use the sniff test when defrosting those mixed bottles. Good Luck!
