I’m interested in the co-sleeping thing, but am worried about blankets ending up over top my dd (only 5 weeks old now). I usually end up putting her in bed with me at 5-6 am when she wakes because she doesn’t want to go back to sleep. But the whole time I only doze because I’m worried that something will end up over her face. What is the safest way to co-sleep?

Both my boys were big but Alex is just beyond big! No one believes me that he’s not even six months yet. Well he will be on Thursday. Your poor little girl can’t even face forward in the car yet. HAHA! I know when Chris turned around the world opened up for him. HAHA! Alex is already at the weight that he can turn but he still has another half a year before he does. I’m thinking he’ll be around 23lbs on Friday. We’ll see.

lauraoct – We just take the boys to dinner with us. I know, time alone. HAHA! But oh well if it doesn’t work. I turned 30 last November. I was 8 months pregnant. Now that was fun! Hubby just turned 30 in April. We were going to have a party but things didn’t work out so we just all went out to eat. It was lots of fun having family time. Good Luck with the position. My first didn’t care, bottle or breast. He loved breastmilk though. He wouldn’t want formula if I gave it to him. He chooses breastmilk over cow’s milk even at 2. Alex hasn’t even been given a botle so I have no idea. He’s had a sippy for fun but that’s it.

Its lovely to see how caring they are at such a young age, James shares his nee nars which are his favourite toys! When I was pregnant I thought it would be nice to have a girl one of each. So pleased it was another boy they have always got a friend to play with.

For those of you who also put pumped milk into bottles, which bottle do you prefer? I return to work in about a month and Derek will need a few bottles at daycare. I still plan on breasfeeding a few feeds a day so I’m looking for a bottle that will be close to breast. Any opinions?

Yesterday we spent the day over at the inlaws. Went to the sub museum in Keyport. It was interesting but not so exciting. HAHA! Today we’re heading downdown Seattle to go to the asian grocery and a little dim sum. Hmmm! It’s been so pretty here. Not too hot, not too cold! Gotta love summers in Seattle.

Scarlet – My supply always gets low at the end of the work week too. I think its because during the weekends my lo nurses like crazy and by the end of the week my supply needs her suckling to boost it back up. Don’t get discouraged dear heart. You are doing a wonderful job and should be very proud of yourself. Working and breastfeeding is very difficult.

I have so many IAP friends that I have no idea who half of them are. Then I had a friend that I couldn’t figure it out. I thought she was IAP then I noticed that my sister and another friend were friends with her. Had to ask my sister who she was. I guess she did Cheer with my sister. How she got on my FB is beyond me but oh well. She also has a little one my baby’s age and has the same parenting style as me. HAHA!

Ahhh Leslie! I’m so sorry! Does your pump have a battery back up? If so then there is always the car. I hate to even suggest this but what about the bathroom? I know gross but if you spray the crap out of it first then it wouldn’t be as icky. I wish your work and state was more amendable. Now more then ever I wish your house would sell.

Braeden is Monkey, Cuddlebug, Cuddlebutt, poopybutt, Mr. Cuddles, Little Love and Snug-a-bug. Damion is Goofball, monkey, Love, and Sweetie. I introduced a pacifier when Braeden was 2 days old, and never had nipple confusion. He won’t take a bottle at all anymore (he’s only had 3 in his life, and he’s 6 months now). And I give him water when I feed him solids. But he only has a sip or two, and I prefer to nurse, just sometimes he won’t take another bite until he has a sip of water to clear his mouth. I don’t pump, since I have no need to, so to give him something liquid to clear his mouth out, it has to be water. He probably only drinks 1/4 to 1/2 of an ounce a day though. Oh, and I also don’t agree with CIO. A few pages back though, someone said they figured that if youi respond to baby every time they cry, they learn to trust, and will cry less when they’re older. My son must have missed the memo… LOL. He’s 9.5 years old now, and the world’s biggest cry baby…. I’m not sure how it happened, I don’t feed into it…

Nappies do cost a lot, I have two in nappies. Spend a fortune on them and on wipes.

PG I never did but it is always the case. You head to bed and pow they are awake! HAHA! I would just head to bed and if she wakes she wakes.

Well I’m still tired but on iron suppliments right now. Ugh! Can’t wait for this stupid period to END. Alex was up 4 times last night. He did spend until the 3rd wake up in his own room. It was somewhat nice but I really wish he was in mine while I have my supply dip. Hopefully my period won’t be tooo long and we’ll be able to boost it again so he’ll sleep more. Sucks when he can’t get all the milk he wants to stay asleep until 3am like he used to. Oh well. Just another hurdle.
