I know you ladies have talked about it, even recently, but for those of you that wear your kiddos a lot, which carriers do you use? I think that might help Zoey stay awake some and still feel close to me. I’ve been working on packing for the past day or two and haven’t been able to snuggle with her very much. Instead of her usual 2 hour naps periodically throughout the day, she’s had 20 minute naps. And is only slightly more grumpy. So MAYBE I can wear her and get more exercise/be productive. But I want something she’ll be comfy in. And probably something she can look out and see the world in.

lovingmommy, combining what you said here about the green frothy poo with the weight loss/nursing length you posted about in the 0mo group, I would bet that there is a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance. Either talk to a local LC if you can, or try to block feed for a bit. Nurse off of one side only for a three hour block of time. When baby comes off the breast, instead of offering the other side, put baby back on the breast she just came off of. If she wants to nurse again in an hour, put her back to that same breast. For three hours, use one breast exclusively. This will let her empty the breast better and get the fattier hindmilk out. You should see a change in the consistency and color of her poo as well as see a better weight gain. 🙂

styx – Don’t get me started on pumping! I pumped for 15months with Chris. Ugh! But it was the best thing to do. But the cleaning of the parts. Working moms have it bad. Because not only do they need to work on supply and breastfeeding but they have bottles and pump parts to care for. It was the worst! My hat is off to all working breastfeeding Mamas!

Alex started wearing 18month clothes a few weeks ago, a little before 6 months! It sucks cause I had to actually buy him clothes. Chris was wearing 18 month during the winter and so it was all pants. Grr! HAHA!

I have found that book Bri its only Â6.79 in my money, which is good. Think I’ll wait and get the new one in September as that will still give me 2 months before he is 6 months to read up on it. I always like to have a book on things so I can check them when ever I need to.

Bri – lucky friend! Wish someone had made me a basket….or even given me some idea of the work it would be! Lol. I didn’t know newborns liked to nurse all the time until the day of the 19 hour nursing spree…when I was in tears…and her dad googled it. I’ll never forget. I was sitting on the bed, nursing her, miserable and he read it, closed down his computer, and sat there. I asked what was wrong and he said that it was really typical behavior…and that it gets better at 4-6 weeks. Aaaaaah!!! But it did get better, closer to 4 weeks. Now, I wouldn’t trade it for the world!

Jen I would have gone off! My husband weaned at 3 so I don’t think he’d ever make that comment. He was actually thankful a number of times in the second year that I was still feeding Chris.

I was wondering where i can get this fermented outmeal and does it taste good. I only have enough breastmilk to fill my baby and none left to pump. I really want to get my supply up in case of an emergency or what not. I love nursing but I would like a chance for my DH to feed her as well…maybe at night so I can sleep 7hrs without waking. Although I am sure I will have to pump by then so wishful thinking. Anyways any advice on how to get my supply up more.

god-iva, I have found that baby’s gas gets super stinky when they go days between poos. Nothing I would eat would help change the smell. Sorry! I decided that I would take the gas over the poopy diapers though!

Mine was on Amazon for $21. It’s cute and the edges are soft. Some that I saw were rough. It also has a break away clasp so if it’s pulled too hard it comes off without breaking the necklace. Just a safety feature that you might want to think about.

mewell done to the ep’s. Total admire your motivation. I only express once a day so Ollie has one bottle a day. This is so he’ll be used to having a bottle when I return to work next Feb. Busy expressing now also contemplating throwing machine of Dh’s head if he says one more time you aren’t getting much tonight.

Ok so STUPID me! I’m so darn forgetful when I have my period. Ugh!! Went to the grocery with the purpose of getting oats, MMT and tampons! What a combination. HAHA! Got the stuff to keep my supply up but forgot the darn tampons. That’s what happens when you aren’t used to having a period. I have big ol’ pads from PP bleeding and that’s it! Ugh! I need to run back out but with two boys in tow it sucks! Maybe I’ll go when my husband gets home. That’ll make it easier. Grrr! With the boys it isn’t a run in and out thing.
