in a few days i am going to have to pump so that my husband can give my lo a bottle….i’m starting to get worried, what if she ends up liking the bottle more and dont want to take my breast anymore…i guess i shouldnt worry now, at least not until it actually does or doesnt happen, maybe she wont even take the bottle….at the hospital she def did not want a bottle when they tried to feed her one, and she doesnt take a pacifer. It would be nice to be able to give her a bottle every once in a while, but not if she wont want me anymore

Bri, I get huge quick with pregnancy too. Full on maternity clothes before the the first trimester ends. Can’t keep anything secret past the finding out point! My mom usually knows before I do because she can see it on me. If I am not finding out until I am 5wks, and she already knows… I had mine at 36 and 34wks and they were 6 7 and 5 11 at birth. At 28ish weeks with both of them, I was done with store bought maternity clothes. My mom made me shirts…took the pattern and added 6in to the bottom, and i would still flash belly sometimes! They look like dresses and some of my sisters would be able to wear them as dresses! I get so annoyed with my friends that complain about being so uncomfortable and huge when they barely have a belly! I have a pick on FB where I am 4mo pregnant and everyone thought I was 8/9mo along! It is in the ‘Boy’s new bedroom’ album.

Wow!! Went to bed early last night and just got on today! Holy Sh**! Seriously?!! First Leslie, you need to send that to Laura! That is uncalled for! Next, who said FF were lazy. I read back three pages and didn’t see it. If anything we all say we’re too lazy for bottles! HAHA! Bottles are a pain in the rear. As for choice, yes it is but when ladies are being slammed in other pages we all want to direct them here. One of the biggest booby traps is lack of support. When you have everyone and their brother telling you to quit then it’s hard to continue. I sent a message on the 2 month page directing those that want help to come here. I for one didn’t mention FF, just improving your breastfeeding relationship. I’m almost afraid to look on that page to see what else has happened. Emuclaw, there are several WA ladies here. Nice to see one more even though you pop on here with a rude comment and book. Anyways, I just scanned the pages. Sorry if I missed anyone that needs help. If you didn’t get your answers then please post again now that the fighting ios subsiding. Scarlet, glad the oatmeal worked!

benbubby – I would say it’s normal. It’s why my oldest had to be moved from our bed. He was just way too active. Alex has been quite cuddly but he is now becoming active. Some kids just are. Most breastfed babies that are in bed with mom tend to stay at boob level but I’ve found once they start getting mobile they do it in their sleep too. Alex is starting out the night in his room now because he is mobile.

HAHA! Chris was in the bathroom with me saying ‘mommy get sick’. Yeah honey I know! Thanks for the play by play! Chris is into telling us everything that is going on. We’ll be driving down the street. ‘I see green, I see green, I see blue car….’ HAHA! Too cute but annoying at the same time.

Well, looks like I popped in at the wrong time. Lol. But I really need some ideas and I figured you ladies would be the best to ask on here (and would probably be greatful for a subject change!). I am only 18 weeks, but I’m trying to study up on my breastfeeding this time. I have BF my two daughters and by 3 months both times, I ended up drying up to almost nothing and having to switch to formula. Is there anything that I can do to keep my supply good past that doomed three month mark? Around that time the girls would always stay hungry after feeding, so I would try pumping next time to see how much I was making, and it was about 2 ounces for 20 minutes each side. I stayed on schedule, and even tried pumping after her 30 minute feedings to try to increase it…nothing worked. I’ve heard of fenugreek or something, but I never tried it. I know it’s a little early to be asking this, but I kind of just want to be more educated if I can and be a little more prepared if this happens again. Thanks!!!!

meganshell – Some women just can’t pump a lot. it sucks I know. Try pumping only one side at a time. Use compression nursing while pumping. It helps get so much more. Also, be sure to hand express after you finish. That’ll usually get an ounce or more out. Keep doing this and your breasts will start to remember and you might see an approvement.
