Hey ladies I have a question – my son is 8 months old and he is beating the crap out of me when he is nursing!!!! I dont know what to do I try to give him toys to hang on to or my hand but he gets mad and he just wants to hit me lol or grab my face – What do I do? I know he isn’t meaning to hurt me obviously and he is just trying to show me love but it does hurt! – if anyone has any experience with this I would really like to hear it! Thank you ladies 🙂

So since MiamiMom spoke up, I will too. My EBF ’til 6 months DD also has always been a good sleeper. 6 hours at 3 weeks, 8-10 hours by 10 weeks. At 6 months I started on cereal and noticed that if I fed her too late in the evening she would wake up in the night, so I started feeding earlier. We also hit some serious teething which made her wake up, but she’s back on track again, 9-11 hours at night at 7 months old. I also just wanted to let you know some BF babies sleep lots, not just FF.

Ugh, ladies, I’m so sick 🙁 My DD had a virus the last couple of days with diarhea, a fever, not eating solids much and quite lethargic. Not a big deal, we just felt sorry for her. Now she’s at the tail end and I’m just coming down with it. I’m not looking forward to dealing with a semi-active baby and BFing. I’m hoping to keep water down (so far so good) to stay hydrated, but is there anything else I should be concerned about or anything I should keep in mind? Ugh. Shoot me now 🙁

hi ladies, i have started expressing my milk so i can feed it in a bottle, the first 2 times he took it happily but the last few he refused. He is 8 weeks old, have i left it too late to introduce a bottle? Does anyone have any suggestions because ive just outlayed alot of money for bottles and a pump, and i would rally like him to be able to take it. Thankyou in advance.

loulou23 – Technically it should be the same temperature. So, if you pump and they are all in the fridge then you can add them together. But, if you have one in the fridge already then don’t pour warm fresh milk into it. It can cause bacteria to grow.

i agree lawsons mom-i just actually started working this past tuesday and miss my baby so much. i LOVE getting home and nursing my baby!!! and when she isn’t super fussy at night i also find it VERY relaxing when breastfeeding in her dark quiet room in the middle of the night. i just love the excitement in her face when after she has had bottles all day and then i get home and she gets to breastfeed…it is so cute!

BRI- My poor hubby, too! I’m in such agony during sex I don’t want it, and it’s been 7mos! Finally I went to my OB/GYN yesterday and I have so much scar tissue from tearing it wont stretch or relax. I have to go to physical therapy… yup, physical therapy for my vagina, LOL! It’s either that or surgery! She said it will not go away on it’s own and between peri massages and the PT it will relax the tissue over time. Boo-Whoo, I don’t think I want another vaginal birth!

butterfly kisses – I cosleep with my little one. I sleep topless, and she’s mastered the art of latching without my help (I’m small chested, never thought that’d be such a relief) so I never really wake up for her feedings. I used to, in the beginning, when I was worried she’d smother or something. But now, she sleeps with her head laying on my arm, on her side. Neither of us gets up all night long. She’ll wake, nurse, and go back to sleep without my help. loveLoveLOVE it! lol. I’m not a single mom, per se, but her dad lives about an hour and a half away right now, and has since she’s born. So he’s only here to help two nights a week and while I love his help, I’ve had to learn everything like a single mom. Hope this helps. I know a lot of people are anti-cosleeping… but you’ll find several of us on this page do (and we yawn much less!). I understand if you don’t want that for you or your family… but that’s my suggestion. (Also, I don’t leak often at all. I have a friend who has to sleep in a nursing bra because she goes through so many pads. I’m jealous, but the grass is greener!)
