I couldn’t feed Isaac in a wrap until he was big enough to do it himself. The first time we were truly successful was a bout a month ago and b/c he is 11 months old almost a year, we haven’t had to since. He rarely needs to nurse in public now.

illy try to air your nipples between feeds and use a cream on them. Make sure you are drinking loads and loads of fluids. I know its hurting but nursing as much as possible is the best way to boost your supply back up. Hope everything is okay x

The one knock against the Ergo is if you are bigger then a size 6 then you need to buy the extender but that’s no problem. My husband is a stick so when I wear it I have the extender in and he just unclips it to wear it. It’s great for you back and posture.

maddux- My babes does that clucking sound too since birth and I did see a LC about it. She could not determine what the issue was. Basically as long as baby is growing and gaining well it shouldn’t be a problem. Now that Clementine is 3 months old shes able to re-latch herself but in the beginning I was re latching her every few sucks and it drove me crazy…latch- re latch- latch- re latch over and over again.. She does get a lot of air so i just burp her often. Heres a link to what kellysmom.com says about it. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/concerns/baby/clicking-when-nursing.html

seuban0, yup, definitely sounds like roseola. It should be mostly cleared up in the next couple of days. Even if the rash isn’t 100% gone, but you see a marked improvement, I wouldn’t bother going to the doc. Just me. This was the easiest ‘childhood disease’ I have had to deal with! Apparently we all got it as kids and then my oldest had it. After the first one had it, Mom never bothered to take us in when the rest of us got it. I only ended up taking Ayden in as a confirmation. They can’t do anything for it, other than positively identify it. Had Mom spoken up when I was talking to her and confirmed what I was thinking, I wouldn’t have bothered at all. I had seen it in text books in college and then she had dealt with it, so that would have been enough for me. She didn’t say anything though until we got back from the doc and we spent the $ on the co-pay. I told her what they said and she said ‘I told your sister that that was what it was going to be. Glad I still know something!’ I just sat there going ‘Thanks Mom, glad you told me AFTER the fact!’ 🙂

ok so my friend was telling me that a doctor on the today show the other day was saying how important it is for parents to get the whooping cough vaccine……i am definitely asking caroline’s pediatrition about it but i was just wanting to get some opinions on it. caroline is getting all of her vaccinations so she should be good if i don’t get it, right? my friend said that since so many people are not getting their children vaccinated now, that whooping cough is making a comeback and several children have died from it. i just want to make sure to take the precautions i can.

jmuncy, way to go! Has anyone given you any help with the flat nipples? Many times you will be given nipple shields for flat or inverted nipples, but I find that the nipple shells or a product called LatchAssist actually are less invasive than the shields. If you do have the shields and you are doing well with them, then keep on!

oh, by the way ladies… I have to brag. For xmas last year, DH got me a massage of my choosing from a salon. I haven’t used the voucher but I am going to on Sunday. After Alyssa’s breakfast I’m gonna shower and get ready and go get my massage! I’m so excited. My back has been killing me lately. I hope this helps! 🙂
