Balsamfir- Yup, as long as you use it within 24hrs it’s fine! If you don’t want it to go to waste and it’s approching the 24hr mark. For his next feeding give it to him in the bottle and then pump. So you’re kind of ‘making up for it’ although it may not be the exact amount. I’ve had to do that when I come home and the thawed milk is left over… I don’t want to dump it. As for your friend that’s her problem for feeling that way. It’s too bad when your close to her and she says remarks like that! Oh, and with pumping and feeding- it’s best to ALWAY feed your little guy first, then pump the rest. Also if he’s sleeping or playing content, go ahead and pump then too.

Soooooo…. sometimes while I pump my right breast my left starts to leak just a little bit. I have it covered so its so biggie, the other day it wasn’t covered as I was about to take a shower and I feed John from that side. I notice some a drop of milk right beside my nipple. I’ve always has 3 very very small bumps there. After looking closer I realized that the milk has been coming from on of those bumps. Does this mean I have a 3rd nipple?!?!?!?! lol I was so shocked. I tried squeeing it to see if milk was coming out and one time justa little came out. Not even enough to call a drop but I couldn’t believe it.

So happy, I just started pumping a few days ago and today I have pumped 12.5 oz just by pumping between feedings! I am starting my stock pile for work but I am now afraid i will have too much put away since we are moving in Sept and I can’t take a freezer with me on the plane!

I love nursing a toddler but I’m enjoying the baby time. My boys are early developers when it comes to physical development and so I don’t get much baby baby time. There’s more toddler time in this house then baby time. HAHA! Enjoy the cuddles now.

If Alex triples his birth weight like he should he’ll be 33lbs at 1 year! His brother is 2 1/2 and weighs 29lbs!

So I can almost understand why a TSA agent would ask. If she/he isn’t a parent, especially one without kids then they might not know that you would need to pump when you are away from the child. Most people don’t really learn about supply and demand until they breastfeed a child.

i feel bad doing the whole he’ll eat what’s on his plate or go hungry thing. i think he’s too young to understand that even though he is clearly manipulating me. also, be i was a picky eater i always hated the take one bite rule. i just don’t know what to do. i’m at a complete loss. think i could just chuck the solids and ebf him until college?

I think it’s important for this new generation to look at breastfeeding as the first form of nutrion and bottles and formula as second. In my family breastfeeding will be a pre-rec for marrying my sons. HAHA! They will try and if there are problems I will help. I know that sound eww but my MIL helped me learn and really by the time my boys are old enough to marrying and have kids I will be a LC so it shouldn’t be so gross. HAHA!

Leslie, that’s awesome!!! I’m so happy that you are pumping more then she’s eating. Keep it up!! You just have to get Keri to move over this way. HAHA! Much more friendly environment for families, breastfeeding and such. In Seattle, the greener the better!

I tend to put on 30-35lbs in pregnancy, which is surprise considering the size of the babies I produce!! And all the rest of the time I put on weight very very easily, Lost all of it plus an extras 35 lbs after James. Still have about 14lbs of Ollie’s baby weight to lose. Also want to lose about another 50lbs on top of that. I am quite over weight.

tiffany-if it is causing you discomfort you have to get him to stop. i would say treat it as if he was biting…tell him no and end the session.

I was able to pump a total of 7oz today which more than compensates for Alyssa’s daily bottle while I’m working! Ever since I started pumping 2x instead of 1x at work I’ve been getting a little more and a little more each time. I hope this continues. I’ll still be pumping at night to get a nice supply in the freezer. 🙂
