Ive been ignoring the reflux but I just can’t anymore. I was hoping that she would start to get better as her stomach matured but it’s only gotten worse. She does spit up a lot but it seems to be hurting her. I have to change my clothes several times a day and sometimes i just wipe off the puke and don’t change. It’s sooooo gross and you never get used to it.. it’s shocking every time it happens. also it actually smells like vomit now. urgh so nasty

excitedmisty – I know that it is possible, but I wouldn’t worry too much. It does differ from person to person, however if you are ebf still without af yet, then the odds are relatively low that this one time will make you pregnant. Just also know that alot of it depends on the frequency of how often you breastfeed, particularly at night. If your lo is still waking at night to feed, then you have a lower chance of ovulating. It’s when you go for longer stretches without feeding that your hormone levels start to regulate again and send messages that it is time to ovulate again. Also if it makes you feel any better, I have been breastfeeding for a year (today is my dd’s 1 year bday, yay!), I have not gotten af yet either, and my fiance and I have sex every time without any birth control (I would be happy if I got pregnant though in my case). Anyway, I’m sure you are fine for just this one time, especially with the fact that your little one isn’t even on solides yet. I wouldn’t stress.

lucky my hubster despite noone breastfeeding in his family, knows its best for our kids. Think he also likes how its easier and free also. Likes free things he does! He isn’t bothered about where i feed as knows i’ll do it whether i am when baby is hungry!

styx – Chris has always been a good sleeper. We just switched him to the daybed this last week. I was so anxious about doing it and then finally I put him down for a nap and he came waltzing out five minutes later. I knew he could climb out but he never did unless we were right there. So I put him back into his bed and told him he couldn’t climb out without mommy or daddy. After nap I took the rail off. I thought it was going to be an awful night. I laid him down, we said our prayers and I laid my head next to his while I was on the floor. I don’t fit! I’d break the crib. Anyways, my tummy started rumbling so I needed to leave. I gave him a kiss and he rolled over like he was going to sleep. I left and waited. He didn’t come out and never did. It was perfect. The next night was the same thing. We’re on day 5 and I never have to lay with him. I think it’s a security thing with his crib. He doesn’t leave the bed unless i’m there. Even in the mornings he yells for me to come get him. It’s weird but I’m thankful for it! I’m sure he’ll learn eventually that he can get out of bed on his own but I’ll take this while it lasts. I also moved the glider out of his room finally. We replaced it with our love sack so he really likes that. HAHA! Finally I can rock Alex when he doesn’t want to sleep. Love it!

Courgette I believe = zucchini? Broccoli is still a huge favourite here. The in-laws always comment on how much broccoli she can eat in one sitting.

Jessica, that’s great. I do want a third but two are good for now. HAHA! I also want a summer baby since my two are November and January. I want a May baby. So, when Alex is a little older (and I have my cycles back) we’ll try in August time frame. The first time we weren’t trying and I got pregnant while on the pill. The second time we were trying but it wasn’t too hard. Kind of we’ll see what happens and it happened the first month. So next time I’m deciding on the month and then we’ll get pregnant. HAHA! We’ll see. Just talked my husband into a third but we need to wait. Yesterday was definately a day that reminded me of that fact. I need Chris in school first. I couldn’t handle three at home alone all day every day! HAHA! I’m enjoying my boys right now.

i am trying the oatmeal thing in the morning, I am nervous though cause I dont do slimy things very well! I dont know for sure but if my baby eats every 2 hours when I go back to work with 2-3 ounces per feeding if not more by then, I may need 20 ounces to be on the safe side!! right now, I produce maybe 8 ounces a day! that will sooooo not cut it:(

mn-I’d say your weight gain is fine. about .5 – 1 oz a day is considered good.

One thing I’ve noticed, is that people that FF are very weird about BF, I know when I used to nurse my daughter, people would frown and tell me to go to the bathroom to nurse her (ewww) when I had her covered up under a blanket, its not like anything was exposed. Some people are weird about breasts, like they are only sexual organs or something.

Leslie – Do you have a personal day you could take to rest and relax with Lawson to try to boost your spirits? I know, ideally, working mom’s would save those incase the kiddos get sick, but it might do you some good if you could. Or even half a day. Hang in there! ‘This too shall pass.’ Right? Right. Also. I think it’s South Carolina’s state motto…. Dum Spiro Spero. My favorite quote. (While I breathe, I hope.) Don’t give up! It WILL work out.

Nope, were they landing at Boeing Field? If so then that would be why I didn’t hear anything. If it was Paine Field then it would be a different story.

Oh…and by the way…it was my birth control pills that STARTED the entire breast milk supply issue. We didn’t figure that out quickly enough and the damage was done. If you start on the birth control pill and see that you begin to have ANY decrease in your supply GET OFF IT IMMEDIATELY and call your Dr. to see if they can give you another one with less hormones in it. I wish I had known sooner that this was what was causing my problems to start. I had had a fantastic supply up until that point and had even considered Donating to a milk bank. Then BAM….tons of problems.
