Hello my name is Emma I would like to share my story and I wish this would help other people who may found themselves in the same situation. For many people surrogacy is one of the few options they have when they want to have a child and while it has its good points, like anything there are some things one must consider when opting for certain options. I am from Lima, Peru now I have a beautiful daughter named Dalma, she is my treasure after 4 years of TTC. Me and my husband are medium level citizen we arent rich but we can live quite comfortable and happy lives. We had been married for what would be 10 years, I am now a woman who is around 40 years old and our little baby has 3 years. Me and my husband met during work I was a teacher in one of the towns deep into the mountains and my husband working for a Mining company in that same town. We met for accident and we rapidly fell in love. We marry quite quickly but we had quite a happy time together, after a year of so we began wanting to have a child. We had reached some sort of stability so we tried for a year but we ended with no positive results. After trying for a couple more months we went to see an specialist which inform us after many different test that I could never get pregnant. I am sorry but I dont wish to share the reason of my infertility as is something which is way to personal to share it right now. What I can say is that it affected me and my husband really hard, he began to grew distant using his job as an excuse to be alone. We went through some hard moment until we eventually sit and talked with the help of a common friend along with his and my parents support. Eventually after making peace with each other we seeked other ways I could become pregnant. In the end because of my condition we could only go for surrogacy, and while at the beginning all went well we went to specialized center and gor a surrogate mother. The nine months passed in a flash and in there tragedy strike. You see according to the laws in Peru the surrogate mother can wait till she has given birth to change her mind. We treat her well and made sure she could be as comfortable as possible we make sure she was sure during different stages of the pregnancy but at the end when we had our hopes crushed as she changed her mind and took out baby. We once again felt like we were hitting the bottom. We were dubious of trying for another surrogacy after such experience but after a couple of months we decided to try again. Fortunately it went well and we have to our little adoration. I would like to advice other people to look into the surrogacy laws in any country they want to try before they go this path. Some laws doesnt support people like us who wants to have family, I hope this helps. thank you

Hi OP! I’m looking in the same thing. I’m not able to carry a baby. After multiple MCs I decided it’s time to look for another option. So now I’m searching for surrogacy information. How are you doing now? Any progress or news? There is much info in the internet, but it kind of confusing. It would be nice to talk to someone with surrogacy experience.

Hello world. Two years ago, we were going through a very difficult time. One day, one of our family friends recommended BioTexCom clinic at Kyiv, Ukraine. My husband did all the research about the clinic. We joined the clinic’s online social networking page, contacted other intended parents and received first hand information. We also contacted the clinic and we received a message from the senior doctor who is the program director and we really had a good feeling.

Our journey with the BioTexCom Center was started on August 2015. We spoke to the doctor many times over the internet and we received all the information we needed. In September 2015, we went to Ukraine. I went first and my husband joined me a week later, as he didn’t have so much vacation time. We were lucky that our surrogate got pregnant in the very first attempt. During the pregnancy, we were receiving scans and reports every 10 days. On June 20, 2016, the case manager emailed us that the surrogate was showing signs of labor and we both flew to Ukraine on June 21 and our baby was born on June 22.

We had a baby that we wanted for such a long long time. Our experience in Ukraine was great, the staff was fantastic and everything went so well.

Hello OP! Thanks for this thread. I think it’s very important topic. Especially for women who go abroad to have surrogacy or ivf with donor eggs. I’m one of them. I’m currently looking where my surrogacy can be done. This is not easy to decide where to go. Nowadays there are hundreds of clinics, but not all of them can be called professional. That’s why so many intended parents fall into troubles. I’m in a search for a couple of months already. During this time I’ve read so many stories of women who shared their surrogacy experience. Some of them are so touching. You read them and you think everything will be perfect. But some of them are so disturbing… It’s so scary that even surrogacy can go wrong. We should be very careful and overthink each step.

It’s great that you post this. Very interesting topic. I am not a candidate for surrogacy but I know some ladies that are thinking about it. It’s true that not every country has the same policy about it. It’s important to research all closely. You must be sure that you are secured before you decide to try with surrogacy.

You had a quite a journey. Thank you for sharing this story with us. There are lots of ladies which are interested in this subject. They have a lot of things to decide before choosing the right option. That decision affects a whole life.

Hey Emma, how are you? Thank you for sharing your story. This was eyeopening. Such cases are absolutely unheard of. No one actually checks surrogacy laws prior to going for surrogacy. Thank you for telling us to look into such aspects before going for it. I am so glad that after facing such horrible realities, you are finally happy. I send all my regards to you and your happy family. I have you in my prayers.

Thank you for such insightful advice. It was a tough decision for our family. To move forward and sign for surrogacy. It is pretty expensive in the US so we had to resort to surrogacy abroad. and we did sign with an agency in another country. Specifically in Ukraine. The law system there is great. Everyone is protected by law: us, IPs, and surrogates. And all of the clinics make sure that the agreements you sign are up to date and cover all of the small stuff.
BTW we have signed with World Center of Baby agency if anyone’s interested.
