I suffered from irregular periods up until last december when I prayed to God to give me a solution because I didn’t have any insurance it had to be something natural. Well he put in my spirit to began drinking apple cider vinegar with 8oz water a couple weeks before ovulation. That same month my cycle went from 75 to 45 days. The next month it was like 40 and just kept getting shorter. This last cycle before I got my bfp after trying for 5 years was 31 days. (due 3-26-2010) I have never been diagnosed with pcos, but do believe i have it due to some of the symptoms. Sorry this is so long but i would like to share my story hoping i could help some of the ladies out there going through the same thing i went through.

HELP PLEASE! Hey everyone. I am new to this site, but I need opinions asap. I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), and have known since I was 17. I’ve tried to get pregnant since then, given I am 21 years old now, with no luck. I have extremely irregular cycles, sometimes only 3 or 4 periods a year. Here lately, I’ve been experiencing symptoms I’ve never had before. About 3 weeks ago, my nipples began hurting. Just the nipples. A week after that, they let up and my breast became very sore. I sleep on my stomach, but they’ve been so sore, that I’ve not been able to do that. It has been 2 weeks since they started hurting, and they’ve not eased up at all. They’re also swollen. About a week ago, I started experiencing extremely mild cramping which comes and goes every day. It lasts for just a minute and is gone. Recurring every 30 minutes to an hour. I’ve never experienced anything like this before, and I would like to know what your opinions are on this. Feel free to contact me on my page! Thanks!

Hey ladies! I just joined this website! My sister in law has pcos and found out early in life she did. Well she now had a 6 year old son, 2 year old daughter and a 8 month year old. (just to let you kow it might get a little long and i’m sorry) Well Hunter was not planned at all! But when they were trying to Harmony 2 year old she had to take pills for help and she lost 15 pounds then she became preggers!! Keyra Joy 8 month year old just came along without taking anything!! Anyways enough about her and on too me! lol We have been TTC for 2 years now and nothing has happend. I was on the depo shot for a really long time in my teen years and I never had my period when I was on it or even 3 years after my last shot (in 06) Well I was getting concerned so I went to a doctor the first of this year and told her what was going on the we were TTC and not having AF. She suggested puttin me on a low dose of BC for a while and go from there. Well I did that and she told me I could stop in july or aug. So I stopped the first of this month and had AF from july 7 to july 14. Sunday I woke up and she was back again!! So I am kind of freaked out about that. Why again?: Anways SIL thinks I might have PCOS cuz I have symptoms like ALOT of them but I have no insurance and can not go get checked out!!! What do you guys suggest? Sorry so long!

My doctor recently diagnosed me with PCOS. I am doing some research on it and would like some tips and suggestions as to how to help it so we can conceive. I have started a more strict diet and exercise. I have not had a period since June and we went off birth control in April. TY

I also suffer from PCOS, I was desperate and upset because I thought I was never going to get pregnant…..after trying for 5 years…..I found a site that I felt some trust in, and I purchased their product. Preseed is the product and they devote a whole section to PCOS. Basically the reason why we dont have an opportunity to conceive is because if you notice we are very dry down there. So using preseed while having intercourse acts like the natural stickyness needed to attract the semen and bring it to the egg. I cant guarantee nor can I dismiss what occurred to me, but I only used three of the little bottles, (16.95 for like 6) and I began in September and became pregnant end of Oct. beginning of Nov. I would suggest all of you try this. I again cant say that it was that but I am sure I tried it! 🙂 I am going to be 38 weeks on Monday. 🙂

HI everyone , I have read some amazing stories on here concerning PCOS which is a terrible thing to have. It’s a good thing that all of us can share our stories on here to help eachother with trying to concieve, weight gain, diabetes and so on. I would like to share with you guys what helped me and hopefully it may help someone else out there, it may be a bit long so just bare with me. At the age of 11 i had my first period by 13 they stopped completely. I tried going to all kinds of doctors and hospitals they tried everything known to man I believe. I have tried harmone shots, birth control for a year, surgery and so on just so that I could have a period. This went on with no periods until I was about 25. At the age of 25 I was diagnosed with type II diabetes I started off taking 500 mg of metformin / glucophage 2 times a day by the second month I had my first period since age 13 WOW. I am now 35 yrs old and they still come like clock work every 28 days not only that I lost a great amount of weight which helped with my pain and even the pain with entercourse. I also became pregnant at 29 , but sadly miscarried approx 2-3 weeks wasn’t very far along . during the meantime they uped my dosage to 1000 mg of metformin / glucophage 2 times a day. In april of 09 I concieved and I am now 14 wks PREGNANT WOOHOO and so far everything looks good and going well, although they took me off of glucophage/ metformin and now I’m on insulin they said that glucophage wasn’t goog for the baby. I realy believe that god has blessed me and I pray for all you guys that suffer with PCOS ,but I will say that I am a firm believer in the metformin because it worked miricals on me when nothing else ever worked ,,,,,,,, good luck to all and have a blessed day!!!!!!!!!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18…now 31. My DH and I tried for the past 8 years to get pregnant. Clomid, metformin, AI, accupuncture, and finally IVF. This is my first pregnancy (19 weeks)…and my docs have explained this to me….’For most people that have PCOS, the hard part is getting pregnant…not carrying the baby.’ This made sense to me. Those of you that have had m/c…I’m so sorry. However, if you weren’t seeing a specialist, I suggest you do….and here’s why. Most OBs don’t prescribe extra progesterone when a ‘regular’ patient is pregnant…but when you have PCOS, you need that extra progesterone to help support the pregnancy during the 1st trimester…this helps keep the uterus healthy. After 12 weeks, you are generally taken off of the hormone. My OB thought my specialist was crazy…but it gave me peace of mind, and helped me through the 1st trimester. Just some food for though for those of you TTC!! 🙂

I was diagnosed after 2 long tears with PCOS. One doctor put me on Metformin which made me throw up non stop. Every single night I was puking my guts up. It was a nightmare. Then I went to a fertility expert who had me undergo every single test imaginable. We learned it’s hereditary (my mom never told me she had PCOS) and turns out I was a chlomid baby. It also turns out my doctor put me on 50 mg of Chlomid and it worked. It’s not easy and many women can’t handle the side-effects but be strong and stay positve. With the chlomid I ovulated and became pregnant, I am now 4w. Don’t lose faith. Just make sure you have a great doctor and they monitor you regularly.
